Been there, stock motor let go at 611.

Good friends stock motor let go at 557.

Both of them were the pistons

He is running the on3 kit with upgraded turbos, nothing wrong with the on3 kit. It has been proven more than any other kit on the market.

Keep listening that you can safely run 700 on a stock Coyote and see what happens. The stock pistons and rods are pathetic.

Both our tunes were spot on. If you beat on the car like it was meant to be it will not last.

Idc what you think first hand experience with more than one coyote here.

My shop has built my car from the ground up. I wouldn't drop 20,000 with a shop if it wasn't a good one for tunes etc

Depends on if you have a shop do it

Mine was roughly $ 6,000
Pistons/ rods / billet oil gears / all ARP hardware.

mmr has a pretty good deal on forged short block brand new with a 1yr warranty for 3500.
Brand new Torque Plate Bored and Honed 5.0 Block
New Forged BOSS 302 Crankshaft
New 4340 5.933 MMR (Modular Mustang Racing) I-beam Rods, these rods are
shotpeened, magnafluxed and weight matched
New Manley Forged Piston in High or low compression for supercharger or turbo
Total Seal Piston Rings File fit to your application
Clevite Performance Rod and Main Bearings
Fully assembled, digitally balanced and inspected by 2 technicians
1 year warranty

You probably can get a shop to install your heads and parts for 1500 or so.

But the thickness is a lot better on that block and really all the shop would have to do is pull the motor install my upper parts then back in it shouldn't cost as much as putting in that forge kit if I'm correct
