Are these places legit???

So Summit racing has the street scene 2 chin spoiler at a great price. Just wondering if they are a good company? Also Mustang Depot has a great deal on the roush good scoop. Are they legit also? I like the price but I want quality products not crap!

Summit racing is without a doubt a legit company. They have excellent customer service and a techline that can answer any question you can think of.

They will also beat any price you find for the item youre buying. I've bought a lot of stiff there never had an issue.

One thing I've learned is I have yet to find any store (car related or in general) that offers the best prices on everything. So I've always found it best to shop around and I will generally buy from the place that offers the lowest price (assuming its a reputable company).

Perfect example is I just bought an OEM Ford strut tower brace for my mustang. It is listed for $99 on CJ pony parts while I've seen other places selling the exact same Ford OEM part for 200+. It doesn't make any sense but it is what it is. I've never heard of that brand chin spoiler but it you are familiar with it Summit is definitely a reputable vendor to purchase from.

LuisblackGT the street scene 2 chin spoiler is $177.87, and the roush hood scoop is $210.99. I haven't seen anywhere with prices close to these even if the were on sale. (AM, LateModelResto)

Lol Summit has been around for DECADES and there is a reason they are still around from back in the mail order catalog days. They are the best, period. Jegs is their direct competitor and also very very good. I say this from having bought parts for over a decade myself, if you can use Summit or Jegs to order a part then use them first. They'll price match if you give them a call and let them know about a lower price (including shipping) somewhere else.

The biggest kicker that Summit does is overnight replacements if the fault is on their end. The one time I ever had an issue it was because FedEx lost a package from Summit. When I called customer service they took a look at the tracking and saw the part had stopped and at at one location without moving for 48 hours and agreed that something was up. The VERY NEXT MORNING I had the part on my doorstep via Airborne Express. I have called Jegs and they claim to do this too, but I have never had a problem with Jegs so I have not yet had the occasion to test it.

Other companies would do well to adopt that business model IMO. I hear way too many stories from vendors where something arrived jacked up and they require the part returned and then ship a replacement out ground. Happened to me as well with a wheel I ordered and had to wait another 2 days for a replacement and would have been a lot longer if I did not live a state over from the vendor in question since the replacement went out UPS Ground. Not cool.

Also look at Jegs if your order is under $100 or you are Military. Jegs is free shipping for everything, not just over $100 and they also offer a Military discount.

I raced for 44 years and ordered a huge number of parts. I would rate Summit as the best mail order house I ever dealt with. Very customer friendly. Great pricing.
