Ya I paid like $4.50 on amazon. I used simple green then rinsed them off and then it said to wipe the area off with mineral spirits. So that's what I did. Honestly the hardest part was taping off the top one and cutting out the lettering and stripes.

Where do you get the mineral spirits? I think I'm going to paint mine this weekend as well.

Looks great man. I just posted a thread for my painting project this weekend to lol. I had my valve covers red already. This weekend I plastidipped the 5.0 badges on the outside of my car, the 5.0 badge on the engine cover as well dipped the entire strut tower brace black and red. I want to do the inlays and letters like you did on your cover too.

Will that paint hold up to the heat in the engine bay?

I heard others have used it and it was recommended to me from some friends who Cerakote guns. I don't think the engine bay will get hot enough to mess the paint up.

you motivated me to repaint my coil covers today, I originally painted them Ford blue with VHT, while they looked awesome, they came out too light colored, I bought some duplicolor Ford blue engine paint today, they look just like the Boss coil covers now
