Squeaking Noise

I lowered my car last Sunday and everything was torqued down to specs. The only thing that was done wrong was I accidentally put the dust boot cover upside down on the right front shock. After I few days I hear a rubber chirping/rubbing noise. It goes away and comes back randomly! I took off my wheel to see if I can see anything and everything looks fine.. Is it possible for an upside down dust boot to make noise? It's only when I turn the wheel and it doesn't even make any noise over speed bumpsClick image for larger version

Squeaking Noise

The dust boot being upside down wouldn't cause a noise whatsoever. I just recently changed out my springs/struts/strut mounts/shocks, and I get squeaks. I figure it's because of the stiffer suspension. Doesn't have any negative effect on how the car drives and is so faint it doesn't bother me. Any negative effects on daily driving for you? My guess is it's normal. What kind of springs did you buy?

Ahhhh my bad says H&R right on them. What's the drop? Looks drastic.

It's the super sports which is about 2 inches.. But it doesn't sound right, I'm going to take apart the right shock again but the left side doesn't make a single sound so idk what could be the problem

That's odd. Drastic drop.

I gets rid of the gap perfectly, you can fit 2-3 fingers in between the tire and top. I just drove home and the sound was gone; it'll be back.. I don't get it

Same amount of fingers on mine with a 1.5". Are you on stock struts/shocks?

Here's mine, sits beautifully.

Looks good. Yeah you're definitely going to want to get struts/shocks before you blow out the OEM ones. That's a big drop, and the spring rates are much stiffer and the struts/shocks won't last long. Also, might want to look into caster camber plates, and a panhard rod to center the rear end. Did the rear end shift at all after the drop?

I ordered a panhard bar and it went on back order the second I ordered it 😒 but the rear didn't move at all which I didn't expect. I'm about to order the camber plates and get an alignment in the next week

Yeah sometimes it won't move. It's a case by case type thing. Mine moved only slightly but I was able to adjust it immediately. That's good. Just keep and eye/ear on the stock strut mounts. Those are flimsy an will go first.
