brief burnt smell while revving

Eversince i got my roush a/b i like to rev in park after driving but today on my second rev (up to 3k only) a brief burnt smell showed up. Burnt smell is gone but what was that?

The burnt smell came from driver wheel area, im assuming engine related.

Make sure nothing is touching the exhaust under the car. But new mufflers will smell for a while. It's the stuff they put inside burning off. It's normal.

its not coming from exhaust, its from driver engine area. It was brief and gone now.

Prolly blew the motor up with all the revving.


Lol if it's not still doing it don't worry. Coulda been the way the wind blew the exhaust.

brief burnt smell while revving

Yea if the car is new, mine had a funky smell from engine area when it got warm. I assumed it was just the new plastic and metal getting acclimated.
Still get it sometimes after being hard on the car at 1,300 miles
