Painted Axle Housing

Who has one? Does anyone have tips or tricks to painting one and if I should go ahead and do it? The surface rust is driving me crazy!

I live in the high desert and the rust is driving me nuts. I drove my 99 GT for 13 years and had very little rust. Now even my rear calipers are rusted over.

Yeah I wish they painted the drivetrain components on the GT. Mine was already rusted when I bought it new on the lot.

What kind of paint should be used? Is it a bigger job than it seems?

The proper way would be to remove it and blast it then paint it. Seems to be a decent size job.

Some folks paint those parts with a brush. Seems like a lot of work, I'm going to wait until I get around to a bigger suspension job like upper and lower control arms to do mine.
