Well, I finally decided to do a thread on my car. Won't be anywhere near as good as some if the past build threads.
So far I've done lighter wheels(RTR), and wider tires, still Pirelli all seasons though. RTR axleback, window tint, taillight tint, window louvers, Steeda black shorty antenna, and Ford OE unpainted hood vents.
That's what I'm thinking. The only reason I didn't flat out say anything, is because it's really more of just a roughness to the paint, feels like bubbles on it. The way they described it, that makes sense. We'll see. I'm far from warranty being up, so I can keep at this a while and wear them down if I need to and the "fixes" don't work.
Isn't clay bar a magical thing that fixes everything? Just another dealer being lazy. How close are you to the warranty cut off? They might be trying to wait until you are out of warranty
Update: Got a call this morning, they are working on it now and the over spray seems to be coming off. They haven't gotten to the hood yet as of the update, which is the worst part of the problem.
Just got done with the clay bar, but the inspector went home (I need the state inspection done) and they are doing that in the morning. Should be picking it up by 1 tomorrow. Heavily strutinizing the car and checking for anything wrong before I leave.
I probably didn't use the best wording. It looked very good before, with maybe slight bumps from the over spray, but you could really feel it more than anything. Looks even better now. It was hard to see in the first place.
Haha, I saw that setup just sell on ebay and I thought someone got a steal considering one sold a week ago on ebay for $681. Anyway I just installed this setup. Backed up on some ramps and jacked up the front.
As a note the cat / h pipe clamps are a bit tricky since the bolt is close to the floorpan. A 5.5mm socket fits on the back side of the bolt for fast removal.
I was worried! I saw 11 people were watching it and 2 people bid it up from 200 to 400. My max I entered was 600! With the coupon, all total, shipped is about $460. I couldnt believe it wasnt going for higher though. I've seen these usually go for $600-$1000.
The bumper basically just sits on the inner bumper filler and secures with a handful of screws across the bottom of the splash pan, the few in the inner fender, and a few on the top under the radiator cover. So I would just pull on it down on the bottom front away from the car and put some pressure on the part where the fender and bumper clip together.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
