Airaid intake tube

Will the airaid intake tube still work with the sound tube or does it cancel it?

Looks like it had a connection for the sound tube, but also gives you a cap if you want to delete it.

Have there been any proven gains with this tube.

Nothing to prove as it only makes noise in the cabin. Nothing to benefit from.

I think he meant the whole airraid intake tube, not the soundtube!

Though he should have used better terminology.

Has there been any proven gains with this HAI, I mean CAI !

Yea I figured he meant the sound tube so I'll answer both.
Sound tube no hence "sound" tube.

The other "tube" I wouldn't expect much gains out of it. If you look around the forum you'll see people saying it'll give you xx horsepower and others saying it won't even give you 1 hp.

Bottom line don't get this for performance gains, you'll be disappointed.

Ya I was aware of the sound tube just being a nose thing. Just thought the airaid tube with the stock air box would be a good combination. From what I've read the stock box takes in cooler air and the airaid tube wouldn't have the baffles disrupting the air flow.

Don't want a tune, already have wheels and waiting for warranty to expire for suspension parts. Right now just mostly doing appearance stuff I'm more than content with the amount of HP the car has.
