Laquisha's Build Thread

Laquisha's Build Thread

So as most of you don't know, My name is Trevor, and I currently own a 2013 Premium Mustang GT.

I'm a college student at Northeast Lakeview off of 1604 in San Antonio, Texas. I bought Laquisha about 6 months ago at a Ford dealership in Dallas, Texas. When I picked her up, she had around 19.5K miles on her. She's around the 36K mark now. A few months ago I underwent a sickness called " The Mod Bug ". I can't stop thinking about my beauty's big black booty. She's on my mind literally 24/7.

2013 Black GT Premium Model
Manual Transmission 6-Speed
Build: 90% Street / 10% Track

Current Modifications:
Appearance:
-Gloss Black 5.0 Emblems
-Plastidipped GT emblem Black
-Black 19x9.5 SVE Drift Rims
-Chrome Shift Ball Knob
-Coyote 3rd Brake Light Tint
-Front License Plate Delete
-35% Window Tint
-Raxiom LED License Plate Lights
-Raxiom LED Map Lights Kit
-Raxiom Sequentional Tail light Plug and Play Kit

Handling:
-SR Performance Lowering springs
-Adjustable Steeda Panhard bar
-Stock GT Strut Tower Brace

Performance:
-Roush Axle backs
-Resonator deletes
-255/35/19 Nitto Invos /Front\
-285/40/19 Nitto Invos /Rear\

In about 13 days I will be heading to Schertz, Texas to Lethal Performance to get my car tuned & as well install some pretty hefty mods I've bought.
Those mods consist of:
-Cobra Jet Intake Manifold
-Cobra Jet Cold Air Intake
-Super Cobra Jet Throttle Body
-Boss 302 Installation Kit
-TSS 5.0 Billet Oil Pump Gears
-BBK Longtube Headers
-BBK Offroad X-Pipe
(Catalytic Converter deletes)
-93 Octane Dyno Tune

I'm going to Dyno Laquisha as soon as I get there to find my base numbers, and after the installation of everything we're going to tune her up & dyno for the overall gains.

NOTE: Laquisha is staying a N/A (Naturally Aspirated) build for the upcoming years. I'm going to get heads/cams later in the upcoming months.
WHY: Why will I stay N/A? Because I like the Idea of not going Forced Induction. Sure some of you will make fun of me, but that's just me.
WHY Laquisha? -Self Explanatory-

Updates:

September 29th: Get Laquisha back from North Side Ford with a brand new "Free" under warranty Transmission due to recently being stuck in Neutral position but acted as if was in 2nd gear, could not get it out of the gear.

Great job in your build.. This is going to be perfect.. Any additions in your handling? Uca , LCA, brackets, shocks and struts? You need to plant those tires with your performance mods..

Borla touring, airraid Cai, Mac ceramic shorty headers, frrp x pipe, 2010 gt500 rims, 35 % tint and more to come..

I'll be following this. I also want 500 NA on pump gas. This will also be the route I take. Different suspension and tires though.

Did you really go with the 1 3/4 bbk? I'm sorry. You honestly wasted $ on them.

Ehh...he's got a point. It's kinda of like taking the stock headers off and installing new stock headers. You'll probably want billit oil gears for that CJ too. Didn't see that on the list.

Oh my fault. All I read is that you were waiting it out. LCA's were ones of the first modifications I did. Couldn't stand the wheel hop with stock power levels. Gunna be ugly at your power levels without them. As long as your getting them

Well for 1 LCA'S don't necessarily stop wheel hop. If you want to eliminate wheel hop you need a UCA.

Pretty much eliminate it for me with LCA's and a panhard. Those were the first 2 modifications I did. Then I added a UCA and bracket and it felt just the same?

Well it is the fixed UCA, that have anything to do with it? Don't get me wrong, there is pure spin now with how it's set up, not a lick of hop. The stock pirellis are obviously holding me back. Maybe I have the UCA in the wrong hole?

I'm #70 on the left.
Went to the track did about 8 runs. First 2 runs I spun too much launching at like 2.5k with auto trac off and got a few 14.00s. I need to practice with AutoTrac off and just slip it slowly and not full throttle spin the tires, anyways... Then I put Sport Mode on and launched around 4.5K. Kept getting me in the 13-13.4 range.
Every time I'm like literally 1 second away from the 1/4 end, my 4th to 5th shift always misses, and If I don't shift it will just redline. I didn't hit a 5th shift the whole time! Which that probably caused .2-.9 of a second.

Can't wait for my new MGW Short Throw Shifter...Gonna need it!
