I bought my 2014 5.0 five days ago and some ******* decided to pull out in front of me tonight. I avoided the straight T bone but still had a glancing blow to my front end. Needless to say im pissed!

Never been in a wreck before. How exactly does this work. I know their adjuster will come estimate the damage and all. Anyone ever come out on top and have extra spending money? The car was used but only had 9k miles, so basically brand new. Will they compensate for the value going down since its wrecked??

I literally have about 1k in parts coming in this week....

Wrecked!!!

Only way you will come out with spending money is by getting a lawyer. And when you GOTO a chiropractor to get worked on you will be asked every week or everytime how you feel from 1-10. Answer 8 and then 9 and always be 8-9. Drag it out as long as your actually hurt.

The way law suits by lawyers work is 1/3 goes to the doctor, 1/3 goes to the lawyer, and 1/3 goes to you for future treatments. Or essentially, whatever the total cost for all treatment you and your lawyer gets that amount.

Lawyers... can't love em but can't hate em either. Unless she's super hot with business skirt suit on and seductive *** eyes behind some sexy *** glasses lol.

Not quite what they do in Indiana. Lawyer gets 1/3, plus Lawyer gets all costs. Goes to court, Lawyer gets 40%. Doctors charges full price and won't give you any breaks. Once the doctor or Chiropractor on Doctor hears the magic word: Car Accident, the price goes up.

Watch trying to milk it out. This gets more people in trouble, hard to be going to the doctor multiple times and then go home and put a new roof on the house.

Since you will have a pretty good case, you are intitled to 3 times your medical bills. Tell your attorney the following and if he argues tell him thanks and go find another lawyer.

1) All Medical Bills get Paid First!
2) All expenses for Attorney other than fee, get paid next.
3) Then Attorney gets his 30% or 40%, if it goes to court.

Otherwise the Attorney (BLOOD SUCKING TURD) will be getting paid more than he should get. No since on him getting a percentage of the doctor's fees and a bigger share for his fees. If you have an open shut case, he will take the deal.

GOOD LUCK and Glad you weren't injured.

Please drop a line so we can keep track of the case.

Wrecked!!!

Bottom line get representation by a lawyer and get details of your state's laws.

Last Oct I was rear ended but didn't get a lawyer. The woman's civics front was caved in but my rear bumper had like a few scratches and some dents and a slight crack.

I had an injured back from a previous accident a while ago do this aggravated old injuries.

I ended up going to a chiro for like three months. Bill was like $4800 which the insurance paid for but I didn't get a red cent for future treatments or suffering.

So get a lawyer.

diminished value is a defanite possability. My Love and I were hit no injuries but car was really messed up (should have been totalled) w/o a lawyer I got the car fixed on their dime a rental for the 2 months it took and $2k above that for inconvience/etc. I'm assuming you are ok so the fact your car aint while it sux it could have been worse.

good luck

Yea I agree, it definitely could have been worse. I'm going to inquire about the diminishing value and what not. Hoping this process doesn't take long but I know it's not a fast process.

I didn't put out any of my $ but it took 2 months in the shop. When I toldThe guilty parties insurance I needed a rental they balked at 1st I then told them I couldn't get to work w/o a car. They then looked at the police report and told me to go get one. If I remember correctly I got my bonus $ check a few months after that. I did it myself with the threat of suing...I wasn't looking to get rich but thought a few grand was reasonable and so did the at fault persons insurance.

oh yeah, if legally you can't get satisfaction I have both property and a backhoe.....

They quickly got me a rental and I'm waiting on an adjuster to contact me. Im going to do everything I can to argue it was a new vehcile I had it 5 days and now the value has dropped considerably. I dont want to be compensated for the dropped value I want a new vehicle and they can do as they wish with the wrecked on. And if they bull**** then I will be getting an attorney

Well the adjusters and body shop have estimated the damages to be around the $8,300 mark. The front drivers wheel needs to be replaced. They said it cost $900. My question is should I replace the wheel or use the money for aftermarket wheels. I planned on doing aftermarket wheels in the future, figured the 900 would go a long way towards the aftermarkets.

all guess numbers....if you can sit on the remaining 3 rims till you sell them for $250 each to folks that curb theirs that $750 + $900 is $1650 which is more than you would get for selling an entire set ($800-1200)

key word is guess and you need to be able to sit on them till they sell.

$900 for one wheel or $1500-2200 for four nicer aftermarket rims and better tires... Not much of a choice. Personally I should have widened the stock wheels to 11" so it retains stock looks.

Im leaning towards aftermarkets for sure. The wheel is drivable just has scratches. So I guess I need to look into wheels and tires. I know I want the staggered look. Dont really want chrome and im not sold on black. Any suggestions on something in the middle? I do want 20s though.

What size tires do I need to go with for the fat rear tire. Most likely plan on dropping and inch all the way around in the future.

If you stick with the following guideline you can have fitting staggered tires.

285-295 Rears:
+45
19 or 20 inches
10" wide

295-305
+50
19 or 20 inches
10.5 to 11" wide

305-315
+50
19 or 20 inches
11" wide

305 will fit 10" tires but not perfect fit.

Leaning towards these foose wheels. Not too bad of a price for 20x8.5 and 20x10s. Tires have about 80% tread left. $1350 shipped

Can I give you some advice? Just because they look like they're in great shape doesn't mean they are. The tires could have directional pull, rims could be out of round with balance issues ect... with rims and tires, I would always go new unless the deal is fantastic. Too much can go wrong.

I like the targa's. The second one. But avoid wheel fire like the plague. I had to charge back a set of rims that came damaged from them. And the finish was bubbling and peeling. They didn't wanna do anything, so I had to do a charge back and I won. AM puts out some ****ty wheels sometimes, but they'll make everything right if there is an issue. I exchanged a month old set of mmd wheels for forgestars, and they even paid for me to swap tires and balance the new rims. They have the targa's too. Go with them.

Hmm...I wonder if AM would price match. Seems like every wheel in a 20 that I like says out of stock on AM's website. On top of being more expensive.

If you haven't checked out www.cruizinconceptswholesale.com go there cause I got my SHELBY CS40 for almost like $300 cheaper than any other place last year.

20x9 for $286 vs $339.99
20x10 for $309 vs $354.99

Plus their tires I saved an addition like $10-20 or so each for Nitto 555.
