Hennessey 717 hp mustang

Impossible
How can a STOCK Block handle this kind of HP

Yea maybe it last long enough to be on a few dyno runs
But your never gonna see that magical 36000 mile milestone unless
the shortblock is completely gone thru replacing those garbage rods and
pistons that come on a stock 5.0 ~~~~

The stock block can handle 650 ish RWHP, and that was the 11-14. This is basically the Boss engine now. 717 crank HP is safe.

Hennessey 2015 Ford Mustang HPE700 Makes 717 HP

So where did you hear its a BOSS Shortblock ?
New manifold and heads yes

But NO shortblock upgrades being advertised
on ANY 2015 GT Mustang

I dont think Ford can afford to include the Boss shortblock upgrades and still sell it 10k
less then what the Boss sold for $$$

It's been stated in most articles about the 15, it's basically the Boss engine. Most everything has been somewhat improved in the engine.

Never said it was the Boss block.

Wow, I didn't realize the engine was that beefed up for 2015. I really am thinking about the GT350R that comes out in '16. I never drive the Raptor can give my wife the 2014 she loves it anyway heheheheheh

Still glad I own a '13 over a new '15, personally.

A tic slower in a straight line (0-60 and 1/4), increased stopping distance, and just barely any improvement on the slalom. However; the IRS lets it hold more lateral G's than before and it has some of the 302's forged internals. I see that being important once guys get elbow deep in building it out but stock for stock it doesn't seem to make a difference.

To each their own though. I certainly can't fault anyone for wanting to buy one.

The pistons have a redesigned top, but they'll still be suspect over 600 RWHP.
