Ok I am in the process of choosing wheels. I will be going with 20s staggered. I dont want chrome but I'm not completely set on all black either. I like some of the black and machined. They will be going on a black 2014 5.0. I plan on blacking the windows out as well as all of the lights except the headlights. Help me choose!

1,2,3 or 4? Any other suggestions would be great!

I like one and three. There is also a forgestar rim like #3 I think you would like. I forgot the last brand as well but I've had vossen cv3 and MMD wheels like those and they both had balancing issues. people say that rotary forged rims aren't that much better than low pressure cast rims, but the only two sets of rims that didn't give me problems were forgestar f14's and tsw nurburgrings, both of which are rotary forged. Whatever you decide, make sure you chose your vendor wisely. You'll want to cover all possible scenarios with them so you know what you will or wont be stuck with if issues arise.

I am a big fan of the Vossen CV3s on the S197s. They look great with a staggered setup imo. I'll likely get a set one day but my track pack wheels are fine with me for the time being. Good luck on deciding, lots of great choices out there.

Help me choose wheels!!

2 out of 3 or 3 out of 4 black Mustang owners opt for black wheels. I'd personally go for something else but if you do go black try a black chrome.

Or a silver face with black trims so it's like the best of both worlds like #1 and #2.

But of your choices I like #3 the most.

Black on black is so common now that I would go for something different. I like #1, #2, and #3 (the most)
Like Dallas said if you do go black rims try black chrome.

You need to know the rules, to break the rules

I hate the 2nd option. Reminds me of a Mercedes. The other three are cool. I like the Shelby CS40 a lot too. But ya can't go wrong with a set of 3 piece True Forge Chicanes 😉

Wellllll I made a decision! And it wasn't any of the above options lol. Pulled the trigger on some Niche Milan 20s staggered. Black with tinted machined face. Can't wait to get them in!

Good. Thus guy did a 305 on those and the tire stuck out past the fender. 295 is perfect.

Did it?? Have pics? I was debating on 305s. Think I will have room to drop it with the 295s?

You'll be fine. This guy was fine with 305 but it just stuck out a bit. I'll see if I can find the pics.

The problem you'll run into is if you do a 1 inch drop with something like steeda sports, your wheel gap will be larger in the front than the back, because the 295 is almost an inch taller than the 255. I don't mind it though. Those are the tires I run with steeda sports. If you do K-springs the gap will be level because the front is also dropped 1.5 like the rear.

Here is a reference. These are 295-35-20 and 255-35-20 on forgestar 20x11 and 20x9 with steeda sports. The rear gap is a finger lower than the front. Doesn't bother me at all.

I like them too, but they are way too expensive unless you get knock offs.

They are. The actual gt500 rims are forged. The AM wheels are cast aluminum. Big difference. The OEM wheels can be found on ebay though for around 3k with tires. That's the only reasonable way to get them. Ford charges like 1200 per wheel. And the AM version doesn't clear brembos I believe.

I did not know well that sucks, i was planning to get them. Does the factory 18' base gt wheels clear brembos?

I think the whole reason for the wheel change on the Brembo upgrade was because they did not fit.

I think the only OEM wheels that clear the brembo brakes are the Brembo wheels, Boss wheels, and GT500 wheels. All of the others won't clear with out spacers.

In fact, the factory Brembo wheels JUST barely clear the brembo brakes.

I know everyone does black on black but I think it looks just to good of these cars so 4 for me. All though I did white and all black accessories on my 450 and it looks out of this world. Just might be my next Mustang and the truck was my first non black vehicle.
