Very Important Question...

How do you guys close your trunk without getting finger prints all over the spoiler or decklid panel??? I'm perplexed as to why Ford didn't install some kind of handle or something.

Fingerprints are a huge pet-peeve of mine. I try to avoid them at any cost. I offered my coworker a ride home one night and she used to glass of the door to shut the door, needless to say, that was the last time she got a ride home.

Any tips appreciated!

Wow. You can just clean them off bro. It is annoying, but I wouldn't go so far as to not give someone a ride just because if that.

Park on the line right up against the car next to you so she had no choice but to crawl thru the drivers door.

But like mustangz said its just fingerprints. You can wipe it off.

I carry a micro fiber towel in the car. I wipe off finger prints from the door and trunk regularly.

Very Important Question...

It's a fair trade. They have their oily hands all over my side door I put my hands to work on their headlights.

They put their hands on my trunk I put my junk in theirs.

That is kinda what I am hoping to avoid. I would think that there is some little crease you could use that would be inconspicuous or something. I hate fingerprints so much it's one of the main reasons i never get NAV in any cars that I buy.

Ohhhhh, you have no idea how anal I am with my cars.

1. No eating, Bottled drinks only
2. No fingerprints
3. No feet on dash
4. Don't touch my perfectly organized glovebox and center console.
5. No sitting or leaning on the car
6. Clean my windshield of suicidal bugs everytime I get to my destination.

Hell, most of those are common sense car etiquette.

Same with me. I'm just not anal about it. I hate leaning on the car though.

Your responses! Haha.
Fingerprints on the window or trunk are always going to happen. Best solution stop opening the trunk, problem solved

You need to know the rules, to break the rules

Finger prints bad? Try having a puppy that loves to rub his nose on the glass and lick the windows.

Trunk...ain't that why they put the huge Faux gas cap on it so you can close it w/o leaving prints?

I will admit to being real happy my wife learned to use the door handles to close the door.

If my car hasn't just been washed I use the palm of my hand on the edge of the spoiler to close the trunk. If I just cleaned the car I grab one of the rubber bumpstops on the bottom of the trunklid and pull down quickly on it to shut the trunk. Most times I too worried about wiping the greasy fingerprints off my iphone screen to be all crazy and OCD about fingerprints on a car, I mean that's crazy LOL

First I grab the lock mechanism on the bottom of the trunk lid, pull it down far enough and then use my hand in a karate chop position on top of the edge of the spoiler to close it. It's just the bottom edge of my hand against the narrow edge of the top of the spoiler.

I always use the lock latch on the underside of the trunk lid. I used to use the bumpers but they were starting to come off it seemed. Its not a bad idea to keep a small microfiber towel in the cab with you though. I keep one in the little drivers door slot and its out of sight out of mind until I have to call upon it for those tedious moments...like when someone uses THE WINDOW!! instead of the DOOR HANDLE!!

plasti dip, is there anything it can't do? Shot the outside of the emblem in that and that's my trunk push. I do this every day, several times a day.

Open palm of hand or sleeve across the top edge of the window glass to shut the doors. I also can't stand when smudges get on chrome trim.

I have vinyl stripes from front to back - don't have to touch the paint, I just grab where the stripes go.

Side knuckle of closed index finger on weatherstripping between between top of painted door and bottom of side window at the back edge. Boy, we must all be anal!

Wait you guys actually take your Mustang out of the garage built vacuum sealed room and actually drive it???

Don't even mention the dust that collects on the side skirts and rear bumper in just 1 minute of driving! I wipe that biitch down every other stoplight. I spend $20 on detailer spray just to drive to the supermarket.

Lol

Maybe we should start a petition to get ford to put a pull handle on the trunk to close it without ruining a freshly done wash.

I swear, owning a black car is probably the dumbest thing an OCD person could do. Its like a full time hobby!
