But it will cost more than 1000 to buy headers because He will need an x-pipe also.
If he doesn't want pypes or bbk

What are your goals for the car? I always find it amazing how people ask this vague question essentially asking people to spend their money. Do you want more power? Improved appearance? Better handling? I would do some research and figure out what you want out of the car before blindly spending money because someone random posts an idea that sounds good at the time.

I'm sure if he wanted just appearance or just performance he would have stated.

1k is nothing, saved it up for something worth while like a supercharger or something. Dont waste every penny on this car, im pretty sure you will want something better in the future. 13' mustang gt is my first car and i owned it for almost 2 years now. So far i have saved up 17k. Im hoping to get a corvette c8 or c9 before im 26 which i still have 3 years of time.

Considering they just released the C7 i don't think you will see a C8 for another 8-10 years.

I would address the issues with the shifter/transmission of the MT82 before adding any more power.

Rumored... a mid engine Corvette rumor had existed for over 40 years. If anything, and that rumor is true, that's the ZR1, and it would be near 150K, and still technically the C7.

Chevy will be having more then 2-3 years of the C7, Probable 7-10. It just costs way to much R and D to design, develop, and mass manufacturing to invest all that cost to only make it for 2-3 years.

We've told him this many times. He obviously believes the magazines over us, and common sense, which is not common amymore.

You really think that because some magazines with "sources" say that it's happening in 2017, GM is going to do that... wow. Use common sense man. No Corvette generation has ever been 3 years. 6-7 would be accurate, it ain't happening before 2020. Maybe, and that's a big MAYBE it's a mid engine ZR1 in 2017, but definitely not a new generation.

Please stay on topic.

To the OP, a shifter bracket with an upgraded bushing seems to be a pretty popular, almost essential, mod on the manuals.
