So can you recommend a good full exhaust set up?

I'd run that setup(minus roush, they sound ****ty imo) especially cat less with long tubes and no resonator lol. But some people like raspiness so bad you can't appreciate the good sound this engine makes with a good quality sounding muffler. Unless it was only a weekend street queen there is no way I could paid enough to have that setup. Just my ..02cents haha

Nothing fits our cars like ARH LTs. They're ex Kooks guys who built their headers to fit the s197. Very similar to Kooks but fit better. Also very expensive.

Can someone tell me how much louder longtubes make everything ? In what way does it affect the exhaust tone?

I run kooks long tubes 1 3/4 and the kooks catted x pipe with the factory resonators to custom muffler deletes with 4" tips and she screams. I wish I could post a video of the burn out I did the other day. But I can't figure it out

Louder cold start but idle is kinda the same. And obviously when you put the foot down it gets loud. It just all depends what your setup is.

Ok I have a catted x pipe with muffler deletes , it's pretty obnoxious when I put my foot down . Just not sure if longtubes would make it more aggressive or just sound stupid

More aggressive for sure and you'll gain power. I honestly like my setup. Longtubes o/r x and stock catback and axle back. it's not too loud when driving normal but when you step on it, whole new sound. I'll be getting cutouts pretty soon.

I got ceramic bbks. I don't regret getting them but I feel like i will in the future. Their not bad. Just like any other longtubes but I've heard they don't last long. And everything goes with "you get what you pay for". But I honestly got them like the first week I had my 5.0. Came down to bbks cause their not to expensive and they don't rub on steering column. If you have the funds for kooks, get them.

If you had a offroad x b4 your car will not be as loud after you install the longtubes.

It just is bud, everyone who has done longtubes that had just a offroad x b4 and stock manifolds, says it quiets down after the longtubes.

Not just making it up.

I don't. It honestly sounds like a stock 5oh but a bit louder. Loud on cold start and when you step on it. depending on the sound you want you'll probably want an axle back. I don't have an axle back cause I know it'll be loud regardless if you step on it or not. and I'm getting cutouts so no point in getting axle backs

Edit: whatever header I can find that's a good quality stainless 1"5/8 to 1 3/4. I think 1 7/8" is too much header for 302 CI. I'm not one who's sold on there being drastic differences in LT header designs, at least not at this power level. I'll keep my GT500 A/B's, then figure out a catted y/x pipe set up with whatever OTA piping.

1 5/8 are way to small. 1 3/4 are good and there's nothing wrong with 1 7/8 primaries. I run 1 7/8 longtubes and with my 11.2 time slip N/A that tells me they're working just fine. And there's no such thing as a y pipe on these cars.

The coyote motor loves to breath, honestly 1 7/8 is the best way to go in a swap, or at least the pypes stepped design.

Seen plenty of dyno sheets (using corrected #'s) where the gains are only worth it by going to 1 7/8 over offroad x and stock manifolds
