2014 tuned (automatic) shifting from 1st to 2nd issue

Ok guys i have a 2014 gt automatic and when i get on it in sport mode and maually shifting with the button my car either falls on its nose or will bounce off the limiter when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear.i shift at roughly 6k rpm all other gears shift very nice and quick. it only does it when manually shifting. if i leave it in drive or in sport mode it shift hard and quick. any help or recomendations would be great. my mods are
  • jt intake
  • kooks lt headers
  • kooks catted x pipe
  • muffler delets
  • sct x4 with bama custom tune
  • lowered 1.5"
  • 20x10 rears with 275/35-20 mt street comp tires
thanks every one.

You shift at 6000k every other gear but first which actually first gear should be the one gear you shift earlier because it revs the fastest of all gears. So if your limit is set at 7k and even if you manually shift at 68/6900 it rises so quickly you hit the limiter.

But two questions:
1.) Why are you shifting manually?
2.) Why are you shifting at 6000 on the other gears. Your power peaks at 6500.

Haha I'm not really sure why I like to manually shift. And the other gears I go almost to 7k

Actually I'm pretty sure you like to shift manually for exactly the same reason I bought a manual car. Because it's hot damn more fun than just flooring your right foot only. Lol

Talk to bama really. If it only happens in first and after the tune but stock is fine then it very well could have been a tune issue. Datalog and send it off to them.

Your not shifting quick enough in the 1-2 manually. I've hit my rev limiter (now 7600 rpms via tune) a couple of times doing this. It's better just leave it in drive. LOL

Trust me by the time your tach (in first gear) shows 6k your already at 7000 rpms. Get a shift light if you want a more accurate indication. fyi

Yep.

You need to time it better. Really you should just leave it in Auto "S" mode. going to Manual just makes you slower.

These new automatics shift better on their own. I have tried several (unsuccessfully) times to manually shift my automatic. Never works like I would like. My shift points are set at 7500...shifts that way every time. I have a 2012 gt with 3.73 gears, BAMA 93 Tune, Boss IM, JLT CAI and LCAs. Launching with Nitto 555r 275/60/15 DRs. Best launch at 1.97 60 ft and a best 1/4 et of 12.4 @ 114. My car is stout once out of the hole. My next investment will be a Circle D converter and 275/50/15 Nittos. I should get into the 11s.
