2014 GT Build Thread

Hey guys. I am brand new to the forum and I just bought my baby on Friday.

First, a little bit about me. I have never owned a Mustang before today. Never even really thought about it. However, I lost my best friend last December when he wrecked his Mustang. (He was a member of this forum and always on it which is why I chose to join this one, he always spoke the highest of you) But when he died I decided I wanted to buy a Mustang to be able to continue his old build and let his memory and love for the Mustang live on. So this build will be a little of me and a little of him.

Now on to the good stuff. My baby. She is a 2014 Black GT with no extra packages. I bought her with 22,000 miles on the odo last Friday. This will be a slow build until at least next January when I graduate. Right now she is completely bone stock except for an after market shift knob and Upper Grille Delete, which I bought her with.

Constructive criticism is encouraged!

Hey man, sorry to hear about your buddy. I've been there too but props to you for keeping his spirit alive; especially through your beautiful new pony. A few general things I would recommend to start you off right would be getting a new lower grille to match the upper(cause the set you have looks badass together) then make get the CS or V6PP foglights up front just to bring the front end together. Also, get some side and rear splitters(Roush, RTR) to bring the bottom all together and gives it more emphasis on the lower curvature. Then get some quarter panel louvers and/or side scoops; depending on your style and personal preference these give a good look.

Now, the rest from there is kind of based on what the main purpose of the car is. Are you using it as your daily driver, racing it at all or are you just trying to build a bad *** out of control king of the road stallion that everyone you pass stops to stare at? This determines what you want to go with from there. Good luck bud I hope the build goes as planned. Keep us updated!
