MGW STS, Whiteline Mount, Spring Delete

Okay so a few days ago I purchased a Whiteline Mount, and a MGW Short Throw Shifter.

The Whiteline Mount just arrived

Still waiting on the MGW Short Throw Shifter which should be here around noon tomorrow.

I'm installing them tomorrow along with the "Clutch Spring Assist delete" Aka removing the spring in the clutch so I don't get locked out of 7.4K shifts.

I'll keep you guys updated on how this stuff works out and to see if the Whiteline mount was really worth the $30.04. 😄

Stay tuned,

- Trevor

Oh sick! I saw a couple of threads on your mods and was thinking how badass the cars going to be. Get some vids up!

Any specifics on the improvement in the shifting? Did you install it or a shop? Details please...

I installed the MGW about 2 months ago. Reviewed their video for the 2014 redesign about 5 times. When it came in, I hardly needed the instructions. Take your time. I jacked at the factory body jack points then put stands under and raised them another inch or two by putting a block under the jack I was using. I may have backed up onto ramps first (?). I was done in a half day, but didn't work the whole time. I found you could use 1/4 or 3/8 drives and switch up extensions and use the new ratcheting "box end" wrenches for some of it. I use the Street durometer bushing. Adjusting for reverse and 1st was easy - just barely moved the set bolt and tested the feel before I closed it all up. Heat shield was a snap. Hardest part might have been putting on the sound deadening on the shift shaft far end (optional).
For your test drive, you won't want to get out of the car. Warning-- It'll make you want to ask your buddy to drive it!

Shop installed (1-2 Hr install time) $ The whiteline mount helps ALOT. The gears are always where you need them to be and easy to get in the gear with the short sturdy shifts. + The clutch spring delete is letting me easily shift high RPMs with my CJ Setup.
