Exhaust Tips

So, this is not another axle-back thread. I have heart throb axle backs and love the sound, but I do not like the tips. Does anyone know any good places to get good preferably black tips for cheap. Thanks guys

White stang with black tips and black rims. Sounds like a good ol time lol

Try Amazon. Or any exhaust shop. Even autozone sells black exhaust tips

Thanks, I'm trying to get all the color off of the car other than white and black haha. I've looked around at those places, typically they are just very expensive. I wasn't trying to pay over $100 just for tips when I only paid $200 for the axle backs. I didn't know if anyone on here knew any places to get good ones for cheap.

A lot of people just finish them with black high temp paint.

deerslayer showed how to blacken them. Use 40 grit sandpaper wrapped around the pipe. Then use acetone and scotch brite pad (blue or green) and clean everything well. Then distilled water. Use another scotch brite pad and wipe the tips with Caswell stainless steel blackener. Let it dry and lightly coat the tips with used motor oil (blacker the better). I left mine on for 48 hrs then wiped them down. They look great and I spent $30.00. I will try to post a pic soon.
