Stock H pipe Clamp

When I took off my H pipe to put on an X pipe one of the clamps was bent badly so the mechanic took it off completely for some reason and now my stock H pipe only has one clamp welded onto the right side and the one on the left is gone. I don't really like the tone of the X pipe with my mufflers so I want to switch back to my stock H pipe. Is it still possible to put the old one back on using one of the clamps on my X pipe even though the clamp isn't welded onto the H pipe? I am basically saying would a non-welded clamp still be functional to put back on my stock H pipe..
P.S. I know this is poorly worded
