So I haven't been on here in a while but I'm having an issue and I wanted to get some opinions. To start, I've been hearing a tapping noise coming from the passenger side of the motor. Usually happens after the car has warmed up and idling. I can hear it if I barely press on the gas but anything more and it stops. So I took it to the dealer the first time and they replaced the following:
-replaced right bank intake and exhaust vct solenoids
-changed tensioner kit per a TSB
Then on my way home I noticed the noise came back and then my check engine
light came on which wasn't on before. So after nearly three weeks of having my car they replaced the right head, cams, and phaser. So thinking that everything was fixed I brought it home. However, on the way the noise came back again and the check engine light came back on.
I checked the code this morning and the were P0171 and P0174, suggesting I'm running lean. Could that be because they returned my car back to stock after my Bama tune? I have the steeda intake but other than that, no performance mods. Anyway, I'm a little concerned because the dealer was saying because the car is tuned, they weren't sure if Ford would honor my extended warranty. Any thoughts??
