Over Axle pipes/Resonator Deletes 2014 5.0

I am thinking of buying a new set of over axle pipes because I don't really want to cut up my stock parts and also getting a set of Roush mufflers to go with it... Has anyone either cut their resonators out or gotten new over axle pipes? If so how much louder did it really make it? Does it drone a lot more? And would you suggest buying a new set of over axle pipes and if so what company or would you just go with cutting stock pipes?

OTA's should not affect sound any. Deleting resonators appears to bring in more popping.

New OTA pipes will affect sound. If he has stock pipes, or any resonators, they will be deleted by the new OTA pipe.

Yeah all stock except mufflers and aftercat X pipe which I think I am going to switch back to the H pipe because the X pipe makes the exhaust sound way too mellow and toneless... More sound is exactly what I'm looking for in deleting resonators. I want it to be a tad louder and also pop and crackle a lot more.

I deleted my resonators by buying a used set of 2013 GT500 OTA pipes which do not have resonators from the factory. I added these to my existing GT500 single tip mufflers. It did make the exhaust louder and sound slightly better. I don't notice any popping since the switch but I also have an automatic so that may be part of it.

Borla makes a nice set of OTA pipes with no resonators as does Lethal Performance.

I was thinking of going to an exhaust shop and having a custom set fabricated because it would come out to like 150-200ish, Idk I don't really think 380 bucks is worth it for 2 straight pipes. But then again thats why I am asking the forum to get peoples opinons

When I got my OTAs installed, they asked me why I didn't just have them cut the resonators out. In retrospect, could have saved some cash, but very happy with the borlas.

My LP over axles gave my Corsa Xtreme's some nasty rasp at WOT. I switched to GT500 quads (I always wanted them) and with the LP's sound great.

jacobdlaw, I have some new Bullets that I'll sell you for half price if you want 'em.

Everything I have read says that the Roush only sounds good with factory exhaust. I had the Roush AB on my car before the setup I have now but it got to be too loud and I replaced them with the GT500 AB. IMO, the GT500 with resonator delete = perfect sound and volume.

I agree roush with stock exhaust was good then I put ota on and got louder but sounds awful it's embarrassing how bad it sounds. Some people think loud is all that matters. When it's popping and stupid raspy imo it sounds like ****!!
