Minor rear end axle tube leakage?

While putting on my boss 302 diffuser today, I noticed a little bit of leakage by the bell housing and axle tube seam. I'm lowered 1.5" all around. I noticed this is even before I lowered the car. This a normal thing? I can't imagine it would be...any help or insight is appreciated.

It's a valve on top of the axel that leaks when there's pressure in the axel. Or so I was told. I had the same thing. Only thing they did was clean it up and checked oil level.

I know right. Lol

My 13 needed this and my wife's 2014 late build needed it also.

Hearing the hiss of venting pressure when taking off the little poppet value was shocking.

Pretty dumb. I don't even want them touching my car. They'll mess something up.

Had mine fixed a month ago. Had to keep it two days while they ordered the part. 10 minute fix, no more spots on my driveway.

I never had spots on the ground, just a slow leak at the seam. I'll take care of it later on today at some point.

Bean counters determined that if you needed one you could come back and complain, then come back when the part came in and spend half a day at your dealer for it to be installed if you wanted not to have gear lube jumping out all over your fuel tank, trunk floor and exhaust. A minor inconvenience, right?.
