Bama should be your last choice. You want Mike Rousch from Mid Atlantic Performance.

I concur with Mike Rousch tunes. I helped my friend get set with one, got it same day 250 for a race tune and street tune, friend could not get better than 12.20 with previous tune, so far with Mike Rousch tune without even dyno tuning or Datalogging yet, can ran a best of 11.98 at 115. We will be datalogging in the spring for some hopeful improvements.

Hey Pound! Welcome to Mevo! That's a great question and there's a slew of great options out there and working for AM I'm obviously a little biased! I've been running Bama's tunes for well over 3 years now and not only have they been on my Mustang(s) but my parents, siblings, and anyone that will listen to be for a few minutes about how great they are.

Bama has a load to offer you and one of the biggest benefits in my opinion is their Free Tunes For Life Program which allows you to tweak your tunes for whatever style of driving suits you best. They'll work with you to ensure that you're blown away with their setup. If you're about the device itself there's many options out there as well but the Bama X4/SF4 Power Flash Tuner is the way to go; It's going to have all the bells and whistles as some of the higher priced options and it's by far the easiest to use. Check out this review below to get a better idea of what it's all about:

For each and every Bama Tune, we ask you 19 questions about your specific Mustang, including your unique set up and intended use, in an easy to use web form. This information allows us to write an entirely custom tune just for your specific vehicle to ensure we deliver the most power and performance possible.

Our Bama Custom Tunes are developed in-house on our Dynojet 224xLC chassis Dyno. We've put in Hours of research and development through street, track and dyno testing/datalogging which left us with fully refined custom tunes. The Bama Performance team has exclusive access to our inventory of parts.

We also are part of Fords Technology Transfer Program & Work very closely with Ford to insure that all of our tunes are perfect!

If you're interested in having a quote set up shoot me a PM and I'll get you set up with killer pricing-We will not be beat

Hope this helps!

Alex

I have a 2014 GT auto. that I want to have tuned. From the research I've done the Roush tune is the best for automatic equipped Mustangs.

I would really like to know who did the first tune? A .22 better ET is not to bad. So far in every tune war conversation ive seen not one person who has proff as to why each tune is better. If someone has that info I would love to see it. If I had a local track I would run my car with this BAMA tune then with other tunes so we can all see what the ET difference is. Until I get proff that tune A is better then tune B im just staying with tune B.

This guy is right. I just did the same package and after the install man did I have incredible gains. With the Black Friday sale I think the Steeda CAI and X4 tuner with Steeda tunes for life was like $560 on the Steeda.com site. American Muscle has it on theirs with BAMA tunes for $800. Exact same items, few hundred dollar difference and the Steeda tune is more reliable. You need to talk to TJ and have him get you in touch with MATT HENSCHKE at Steeda cause the man is a wizard. You won't regret it!

I get the impression from this post that you are just a close minded person and no matter what anyone says you'll always think your tuner cannot be improved upon.

Or maybe I want the facts. Just because you say a tune is better does that make it better? With most mods on any car there are proven facts like Dyno sheet's or ET's to show how one is better then the other. Am I right or wrong? There is so much talk about what tune is better but no one with Dyno or ET's to prove it and if they have then where are they because I want to know. Im pretty sure my tune can be improved big time but am i going to toss 250 at another name tune just to find out because a few dudes online SAID it was. Once i SEE the "best" tune trust me im all in. Maybe you have tons of cash and can just go tune to tune but not me.

Brian picked up 6/10 going from a Bama tune to a Mike Rousch tune. He has the time slips and data to back it up. Need more evidence?

Meaning that they dyno a car and make a tune for that car. And tune it with different mods and combinations I'm assuming that's how it works. And when u order the tune you tell them what mods u have and they send u a tune. It'll never be perfect that way. A real tuner will offer dyno tunes or remote tuning for your car to fine tune it to how it should run because no two vehicles will run exactly the same

This is the first time ive seen soemone with a time slip to show a better time. You seem to get mad when i want proff like thats a bad thing. A tune topic comes up and everyone names the tune they have and they say they love it or its the best. Im no brand whore so it makes no difference what tune i have but i do want the most for my money like any one of you. I might just call up Mike roush and get a tune just to see if i can tell a difference and if so, money well spent.

Ok guys I contacted Mike and sent him the info he requested so im getting the ball rolling on this tune. Its raining today so even if I get the tune I wont be able to test it. I hope to feel the difference that you all talk about. I will start a new topic when I do get it all set up just so everyone can see what I believe the difference is. Hope to get to the track soon and do a comparison on both tunes as well.

Why start a new thread? This one is a perfect place... bring the evidence for people to see.

I'm kind of with you in that most tunes are about the same for MANUAL transmissions. We all have the same engines, yes we have different configurations, but we're all limited to the same 5.0L engine, so there is a limit to the power that can be made with basic bolt ons, until you go in to the internals, injectors, etc.. Most tunes give about 30+ hp, and there's only so much you can do with out pushing too far & blowing things up.

I believe where Mike Rousch may shine (from all the hearsay) is that he must have a better understanding of (tuning) the automatic transmission and this is where I see there being a lot of room for differences in tunes. Its like the difference in drivers (skills) on manuals, and everyone knows how big of a difference that can be. As the automatic is essentially "driving" the car for you.. all you're doing is point the steering wheel straight... (sorta).

I'll be interested in the feedback also. I have a 14 Auto and will tune the car sometime in the near future, though I've been leaning towards the "weakest" tune (Ford Pro Cal) of them so I have a warranty still.

Mike called me today and he is a really nice dude. We got all the info exchanged and my tune will be sent tomorrow. He told me that I might pick up 2 tenths over the BAMA tune but he also said maybe nothing. He said Bama has some nice tunes. He seems like a stand up kinda guy because he could have totally bashed them but didn't. Either way I'm going to give him a try. He told me he does wonders for the auto trans so I think that might be the big difference.

Well decided to go with the bama tune and a drop in k/n filter. It was kinda hard to pass up 400 bucks for tuner and tune. Mike told me 250 for tune but I didn't have a tuner already. Should be in Friday so I should have some results this weekend.
