Going Away

Team,
I will be going away on a business trip for 3 months and my question is about the battery, should I disconnect the battery, should I be concern about not using the car for 3 months.... Any subjection is more than appreciated.... btw I have a 2014gt, auto transmission

You should have it immediately shipped to me for 'steadfast maintenance' while you are away.

Battery tender, stabil in your fuel and run it a bit to get it in the fuel system, ideally tires off the ground suspension weighted. Moisture control in cabin and trunk. In doors or out?

In the garage you can leave a window cracked helps keep inside from developing moisture mildew etc. They make tire cradles that keep tires from flat spotting and you won't have to block it up.

Battery tender, full tank and fuel stabilizer and you should be good. I wouldn't worry too much about the tires, they are made much better than the old bias tires that used to develop flat spots. If worried you can over-inflate the tires a little and/or park on carpet squares or foam insulation. Most people think the tire cradles are a waste of money.

They are a bit spendy but it does help. My classics sit quite a bit and even though the have stellar rubber they still flatspot. I think tufframp makes the least expensive solution. Personally, jacking up each corner and putting a cut piece of 8x8 under the front control arms and rear axle housing is much cheaper and makes it a deterrent for someone to joyride while your away.

At 8 bucks you bet. Stabil only protects up to a year. Helps with ethanol and moisture etc. Cheap insurance especially during winter storage. All it takes is getting buggered up once and you wont go without.

Stabil in the tank and run it for a few minutes afterwards is the most important. Maybe a smart charger for the battery as well.

Corn liquor only has a shelf life of like thirty days. Use an additive made to address food storage in your gas tank.....better safe than sorry
