i am short

hey guys quick question, a dealer near me has a 2010 gt with 71k miles on it for 17 grand. im going to go look at it soon. my main concern is i am 5 foot 3 and driving a 5 speed may be hard. ive driven the 94-04 manual with little problem. does anyone know how the leg space from the seat to the pedals would be comparatively? obviously im not wanting to sit on the steering wheel while i drive. thanks in advance!

Isn't 17k a little steep for that car?

I've let people drive my car that are 5'4-5'5 and they didn't have any issues but the only way to know if its comfortable for you is for you to drive it.

Regarding the price if its at a dealer expect to pay towards the higher end of the price scale. But honestly, I've seen MUCH better deals out there especially considering I've seen some higher mileage 5.0's in the 20-22k range. If you like the car and plan to keep it for a while I would go for it but expect as the 5.0's become older for the 2010 and prior Gt's to depreciate quicker. Similar to the LS1 F bodies. Once those become older and in the 5-8k range people had trouble giving away the LT1 models because of the significant engine change.

My girlfriend is 5'2" and she drives my 2014 with no issues. Sit in it and get comfortable, as long as you can get the clutch to the floor, you should be good.

I'm 5'10" and I use this http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...xtension-94-14
Works great and relieves leg stress on long drives.
Also, don't buy a '10. Spend a few extra $ and get the coyote motor. Day and night!!!

I just traded in my 2010 with 36,000 miles and it was pulling teeth to get $16000 for it. I'm sure you can get them to go under 19k. Good luck.

If you can afford an 11 I would go for it. Not that the 10 is bad but the 5.0 seems a lot faster. Plus I think it will have better resale value.

My wife is 5'3" and drives mine with no issues. You may have to raise the seat up to see better over the hood - that is what she does. I would find one with power seats - and the Coyote motor LOL. One Mustang quirk is that the clutch has to be all the way to the floor to start the car, so make sure that your seat is up far enough.

I agree with others you can find a 5.0 for close to what your paying with the same amount of miles.

U don't want a 2010 with that many miles. Plus 19k is 5.0 territory. That seems like a rip off to me.

The prices you found online are for trade in values. They are always going to be higher then what the car is worth. So if you are set on the particular vehicle I would do a little more research on what they're selling for and get that one a little cheaper then that.
