Easy, Go back home

It seems to me that someone in your new city has your Mustang confused with one they think belongs to someone else.
The other blue Mustang owner probably upset someone or it could be you are just in somebody's parking spot.
It is really sad now-a-days how if someone has a beef with you they are cowards and take it out on your car and not face to face.
Just take it to a body shop and see what they can do to fix it.

Have a shop look at it. If it's shallow enough, it may be repairable without having to repaint. Also, since the keying covers two body panels and the door, you may want to get insurance involved. This isn't just a minor scratch from a key; the person went all out.

And why would trading it in for a new one even cross your mind? The last things I would want after someone keyed my car is a brand new car for them to possibly key as well haha.

Don't worry, take a few deep breaths, it's easily fixable. It just sucks that some people out there let their jealousy get the best of them, and they have to ruin someone else's day to feel better about themselves.

Park it somewhere you can see it from your house and install a surveillance camera. Or just camp out with a case of red bull and try to catch the person.

Hey yellowconve

Congratulations on what you did
Thieves and Vandals think twice about what they did when there were consequences.

This is a long shot but if you live in southern California my buddy's car got keyed and the Detail Doctor got his out. Worse case scenario repainting the car should be around a one to two thousand

Help me guys my car got keyed :(

You could claim insurance but your rates will go up. If you trade or in you'll take a huge loss due to damage. And I know plenty of adults who are more immature than a teenager. Without evidence or a witness anyone could have done that. Sorry to see that happen to you. In college I had a nice car and people messed with it by throwing food all over it. It happens alley jealousy can make people do dumb things.

Talking about keying, I got roof of my 'black'car keyed while it was parked at Walmart in Bellingham (WA). I don't even live in states and i still got keyed good miles south lol

Yellowconve, do you have comprehensive insurance? Meaning does it cover vandalism/theft/fire with $xxx deductible? I could've gotten my roof re-painted or whatever but id have to pay $500 for that so I'm like fcuk that I just use an eyeliner to mask those scratches each time I was my car

Damn that sucks. Someone keyed my DD a few years ago on the driver's door through the clear coat. Its an older car and I never had it fixed but it still pisses me off. Sorry that happened, lots of ****heads out there.

That happened to me at the Walmart parking lot. Had to spend $2400 to get everything repainted. I'm sorry man that really sucks.

You can try this stuff: Dr. ColorChip Automotive Paint Chip Repair Kit - Dr. ColorChip: Automotive Paint Chip Repair Systems

It works well for chips & small scratches.... guess it could work for a long one.

The key is letting it sit long enough for the paint to set in the crack/chip.... then when you use the wiper chemical it only takes off the top part on the painted surface, no in the crevice.
