295/35/19 on the rear Forgestar f14 19x11. I know peoples opinions vary on what is stretched. Don't look stretched to me but, that's just my opinion. The pilot ss calls for a 10-11.5 inch rim for proper fitment.

It is stretched. The sidewall isn't perpendicular to the ground.

1.) it's not maximizing the width of the rim
2.) turning (cornering) will result in less than optimal support under lateral forces cuz the support of the sidewall is causing buckle more. So you will slip more.

Just cuz it fits doesn't mean it works best.

TIRES

See how the outer edge of the rim is beyond the sidewall? Imagine if you were running and turning a corner and your ankle is angled inward with the edge of the foot turned inward. You would slip

Same with tires that's not solidly bracing against the cornering g forces.

This is essentially causing a positive camber.

I get ya all. That pic has a bfg kdw on it and the section width/optimal rim width is smaller than a Michelin Pilot SS. The Michelin will look square.

Stretched or not the OP wants a DD and weekend track car. He has 19x11 on all four corners. What would you recommend as a solution? You go on to anything available in the 300's and you end up with a shorter that stock by an inch unless you go 325 and that just ain't going to work up front. Imo 19x11 is overkill and puts a guy in a very narrow window for tires especially up front. I guess the OP could run a 325 out back and send two rims back and stagger the set up for front fitment. The guys at vorshlag have run thousands of miles on 295/35 on 11 inch rims with no issue and they recommend that fitment. Again, what is a good solution for this guy?

And is that a good setup for a car seeing the road course? What tire sizes?

I'm gonna do 305s on the rear. I forgot what the fronts are. 265 maybe. The wheels are in my closet right now. I'm getting them wrapped next week seeing as my stocks are finally worn down.

Your fine. I don't wanna put 325s on until I get some more stuff under the hood. If I did that now the car would struggle. Once I get the CJ Mani on it with the stage 3 heads, I'll have no problem putting a 325 on.

Well I got the new wheels on. 255/35 F and 305/30 R Michelin SS. Need to stop the thing a bit though, I've got some 5/16 spacers coming in Wednesday cause the 305 is really tight.

Are they 19's or 20"'s?
