Basic weight reduction can apply to anything. What i was getting at is the phrase "basic weight reduction" can have different meanings to everyone. Not everyone is going to go out and buy an expensive set of forged wheels, thats why i don't consider that one "basic".

And the car is undergoing some more stuff now as we speak, and will be back after winter. Not sure if he is going in the motor now, heads/cams or what

And looks like a fiberglass hood.

Now it seems more realistic, Forged wheels, light battery, and the fiberglass hood will indeed help with weight reduction, those parts you left out.
That hood actually weighs more than the stock hood. Everything Rap has stated is true in this thread.

It sounds to me like you're having trouble grasping it but it's true.

I've been 11.2 with minimal weight reduction and would be faster with a little more stall and a 3.31 gear. But I'm happy were I'm at.

I weighed mine. 14 GT/CS with no roof, navigation, nor pro stereo. Car is auto with 3/4 tank of fuel and trunk emptied. 3680. Heavy enough imo...

Every time you post it makes me think I'm a dummy for wanting a 500 lol. What are you at now like a 3200 circle D stall? That is effing moving for a 3700lb car all motor tho...

Im thinking about ditching my 2K Vossens and just getting Lightweiht K member, aluminum flywheel. Aluminum 1 pc DS, lightweight battery, and get some light weight wheels and slicks and skinnys.

You can't go wrong with either one.

My car stalls @ 3700-3800. The next size up stalls @ 4000-4200. I'm at 3740 lbs. race weight.
