long tube guys, M6 trans removal question

I was recently denied warranty on my mt82, I have a sneaking suspicion it was because I have long tubes installed and the tech didnt want to deal with trans removal with the LT's installed. can anyone verify if removal of the mt82 is possible with the long tubes in place? it seems to me there is sufficient room, Ill be removing the trans and taking it to Revolution Automotive for their stage 1 rebuild, or I may just have them do the removal and install, but dont want to pay them extra labor if the LT's need to be removed, Ill do it myself if thats the case.........

Thanks!

The transmission should come out with the longtubes in place. Mine did with my auto which is wider when I did my converter.

Get in writing why your warranty work was denied. Escalate to corporate if its a BS reason or even if it isn't. They might pull the "emissions have been modified" card which is a tough one.

well, the stealership I went to simply does not want to do the work, so they are the ones that denied the warranty, lol ******** didn't even put a claim into Ford, I asked the service advisor if my car was "flagged" by Ford and he stated no, and they were refusing to do the work because the car is modified. I'm still tossing over going to another dealership.....

Why not just take it not to a dealership?

They can't just refuse to do the work because your car is modified. Take it to another dealer.

Why not? Why should a dealer work around parts that weren't factory original parts?

Because those parts have nothing to do with his transmission issues.

They would cause the tech extra labor, which would have to be paid out of pocket by the owner. I was a service advisor at a ford dealer for 5 years. Don't agree with it but that is how it works. Warranty work pays a flat rate to the he tech.

You are right though headers can't void the transmission warranty. But the dealer can refuse to make the repairs.
