CAI: Steeda Vs. BBK

I've been looking to buy a tuner/CAI combo and have narrowed my choices down to the BBK and Steeda. Although I'm stuck between the two. I'm looking for performance over looks but I do really like the look of the BBK. The intake will be paired with BAMA x4 tuner from American Muscle. Can anybody help me lean towards one side?
Also this is for a 2013 automatic GT.

Neither one will be an upgrade over stock. Especially the BBK crap.

There are 598 topics on here about CAI's and everyone says to keep the stock air box or get aftermarket if you like the looks. I myself went with the AEM sealed unit just so I can have looks and upgrade the filter to a reusable unit. SCT is the hand held tuner you want for sure so no matter if you get it threw BAMA or another vendor you cant go wrong. The tune you get will cause world war 3 on here so let me tell you what I have. Started with BAMA tune and had zero problems and now im Mike Roush tuned and no problems either. Mike's tune feels better for my Auto trans and the shifting but im yet to test if there was an improvement in performance.

For someone who's new to tuning world and is still in beginning stages of modding his/her car, "new" BAMA tunes are an excellent platform to "start". Once you have all of your bolt ons in place, go with Mike Roush (automatic transmission) or AED/LUND/Dyno tune if you have a manual.

As others have said and if you're talking bbk long tube headers, I'd suggest save your $$ and get Kooks. Granted they are close to $1000, but they're true long tube headers given the way they're designed. Bbk is just a bunch of tubes glued together.. #BigBucketofKrap

Actually kooks are not a longtube. They are a mid length style header.

Mhmm noted, prof Rap! I read a post on svtp by Shaun from AED regarding these kooks headers and how they're leaps ahead other brands. Guess I missed the part about them being mid lengths eh.

Get whats in your budget. These mustangs are bad *** stock so anything you do no matter the brand is going to be an improvment. Im not a brand whore but i would buy the steeda.

For a actual longtube, go for the American racing, or stainless works headers.

Kooks would be my top pick. Just know it's not a true longtube

Let him flex his bones. We'll see how long he lasts lol.

Also, he brags about full bolt on... but has no idea what the Boss 302 Intake Manifold in the other thread is... aka stock manifold... aka CASE CLOSED, BOYS.

FYI I bought a used BBK blackout CAI and had it on mine for a couple hundred miles with absolutely zero performance gains. Fuel economy was worse by 1-2 mpg as well. Unless you just want it for looks then I would save the money and keep the OEM part. True gains come from a tune, not the CAI.
