Ultimate converter concepts

Looking to purchase a torque converter and been leaning towards Circle D brand but I've ran up on a deal on a 3600 ultimate converter concepts for 700 shipped. Is anyone running this brand?

Never heard of them. This is not something you want to scrimp either. Circle D has already proven themselves time and tme again.

Question about torque converter. My car will make a pop sound almost like driveline slack, when my car is coasting and I get back on the throttle. Always when my afr is 20.0. Whenever it hasn't gotten back up to 20.0 yet I can let it coast for a sec and hit the gas and it won't make the Pop noise. Is this the torque converter reengaging you think?

Have you guys ever had a converter built to suit you needs? Just curious. I had the converter built for my torino sport by broader performance been really pleased he dialed it for my application/mods. Never heard of circle d have to look them up. I'll second the don't scrimp worth every penny.

Never heard of them, but their warranty looks pretty good. Have you talked to anyone using their converter?
I've had many converters built, but only for drag racing, and since the early 70's they have all been Powerglides.
I'm assuming they asked you a ton of questions about your car to determine which converter would work for your application, like HP, TQ numbers at peak HP, gears, tires, and whatever other mods had been done with the car. Also, was there any discussion about a "loose" or "tight" converter.
Choosing the right converter can turn your car into a rocket ship or choosing a bad one can turn it into a lead weight..........IMHO

Your probably experiencing the slop in the two piece driveshaft. But it's not the converter.
