Locking fuel plug

Anyone have any thoughts on this positive or negative? Probably a dumb idea but I do like the extra security.

Umm honestly if this is what you want, I'd say go ahead! You might not like what I do, and vice versa.

Ps: is that a fuel door on the outside? Like on your chassis?

No no. Its like a locking fuel plug. Its hidden underneath the actual fuel door.

In that case I'd say just go ahead and buy it when it comes back in stock.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. Renuco612 that's what I needed to hear. Someone that's actually used one and likes it. Thank you.

I have one. Apparently Ford is to cheap even for a regular gas cap, let alone a looking one. No telling what someone can do walking by your car.

I've had one for quite awhile. Quality piece that fits like a glove. It serves for my peace of mind.

Agreed! My ex gf busted my last mustang to hell so I invested in a locking device on my gas tank as well as one of those black box type security setups because this car has become more than just my life, it's my one and only true love.

My two little brother in laws (9 & 11) each wanted to buy something (under $50) for my car for Christmas. Pretty sure they love it as much as I do. I gave them a list of little things and they picked the locking fuel plug and a white shifter ball. Nothing crazy but I'm definitely happy with their choices.

Hey Woody,

Just wanted to chime in here as there seemed to be some confusion on whether or not the Locking fuel plug Is in stock or out of stock and I come with good news as it is in stock and ready to go!

This is a really neat part to prevent certain misfortunes from happening that we all know are possible and for the price tag, you can't beat the added insurance.

I run one on my 2014 GT 24/7 as you never know what the guy passing by wants to do to your car. Especially since I daily drive mine!

All in all this installs easy, works wonders, and does not put too much of a hole in your pocket. I say go for it!

Let me know if you have any questions!

-Will

Thanks Will. I appreciate it. Quick question for you actually. Can you combine the military discount with the forum discount? Or is it just one or the other? Thanks man.

Don't quote me on this but I'm sure they would only do one or the other discount.

Hey Woody,

No problem at all, I'm glad I could help! In regards to the discounts, at this time it does have to be one or the other!

Sorry about that!

This was the first piece I put on the Mustang. You just have to remember which side is up because it's easy to try and put in upside down. I like mine.

Ford Part#8U5Z-9C268-B, List $24.99, net $19.99 and Ford's Sacramento California Distribution Center has 233 in stock.

I didn't mean to steal any thunder from AMWill, I support my local businesses if I can.

Thanks again Will. And thank you olerodder. And I agree with you. I definitely know the importance of supporting local businesses. Even if that means spending a little more.

I run one on my 14 GT and I put it on the first week I owned the car. I got it at the Ford dealership. It's a piece of mind thing for me and is why I run it.
