If you need 4 doors and and want muscle I think the Charger is the way to go! I love mine and will always keep it I had small children when I bought mine in 07 and a Mustang was not practical. Came with a lifetime warranty at the time so no point in getting rid of it. Now the kids are bigger and I got my Mustang but the Charger was a great compromise at the time and it really grew on me.

I think dodge is the only company making true muscle cars these days. Mustangs and Camaros are pony cars. Corvettes are like muscle/sport. Soon to be mid-engine exotic muscle lol

I do think the Charger is a true modern day muscle car. I wouldn't mind coming across a used Super Bee

If you plan on getting long tubes or off-road x pipe don't get roush or borla ataks. Just my $10000.02

I looked into the CTS-V Caddy before I bought the 14 Mustang, but they don't make new ones with a stick.........the other issue is that it has less HP than a GT500 and costs about $20k more (New). It has the same motor as in the Z06. If you pick up a new CarandDriver they have a great article on America's 200mph 4dr sedans...........and one is the CTS-V but at $85k new.......I don't think it's in my budget. Even a decent low mileage (under 20k miles) is going for $45k+ on the West Coast......and I can buy a 2010 GT500 with less than 2000 miles for $40k, or a 2012 for the same as the Caddy. No Brainer!

Very true expect to me that thing is huge. I do love the rear wheel drive. Front wheel to me just sucks the fun out of the car.

I'll take some pics today! Since I live in Northern Nh and bought South of Boston at a dealership, they have to deliver it to me. Evidently Mass doesn't do temp tags and NH residents don't pay sales tax, so they do delivery at your Nh residence or town office.
I'll upload pics later tonight.
Now....where do I find $470 for Roush axle backs!?
Also, I originally ordered the new 2015, canceled it after some thought. Just not diggin the new softer look. And to each their own but reading all the new posts now on another forum about modding the Ecoboost and blow off valves etc.....makes me wanna throw up in my mouth. Just sayin.

A dealership photo...she was tucked nicely inside the showroom with a Challenger SRT, Camarao SS vert and a WRX. They had to move some horsepower to get her outside.

To each his own indeed....I tried the 2015 GT last Sunday and I like the idea of the car...it is truly better than the car it replaces in almost every tangible way but, it has lost something less tangible in translation.

The car is actually so good now as to be almost soulless. The aggressive, rambunctious, direct and instantaneous barbarity of the S197 is a big part of its charm. I can say that I really liked the 2015 but, to be honest, I'm still in love with my 2012.

This is an easy fix.

Get in your Taurus and drive to your favorite Ford Dealer. If you have the title be sure to take it with you.
Test drive a 2015 Mustang GT premium with the transmission of your choosing.
Just be sure it is a premium car with all the stuff you would be happy with.

If you like it, BUY IT and be happy. Your wife will probably be mad but I'm sure she will get over it. Life is way to short to not drive what you want.
Ronnie

PS::: If your wife dumps you and leaves, You will still have your new Mustang GT.

Interesting thread, and I am happy with 315 Hp 3.7 Cyclone mildly modded. I mainly enjoy the twisty's at 55 years young & a cancer survivor.
