Should I let a Ford dealer paint my Cobra Jet Louvers?

I found a guy selling them brand new for $100 because he sold his mustang. Plan on getting painted the same black as my mustang and letting a shop install them flush to the surface.

Do they create a blind spot after install or can you see through a portion of them? The dealer would do a good job matching the paint. As long as the price is reasonable I don't see why not.

Going to get a quote at a dealer tomorrow. I'll let you know what they say.

I just had my local ford dealer paint my MMD spoiler and they did a great job. They were actually a good bit cheaper than the other quotes I received too.

How much did they charge you for a spoiler?

My dealer charged $190 to repaint a factory spoiler, not cheap but looks perfect. I have the same louvers, bought them already painted on ebay from a guy that chickened out on the install.

They charged me $135. The spoiler was already primered and I installed it myself.

I have a local well respected body shop in my area. They can match paint better than most dealers, as they can compensate for paint "dimming" over the years with an electronic matcher. Anyway They charged me $150 to paint match and install my CaliSpecial Spoiler on my 2013 GT. I had them match the paint color of my back window louvers. $100 quote on painting side scoops for me to match body side color.

I installed these louvers and painted them myself using this kit:

Matches perfectly and was easy to do. These louvers are awesome. No blind spot and look awesome
