Painting the coil covers on a 5.0?

Hey guys I have a ingot silver 2013 GT. I was thinking a nice touch in the engine bay would be to paint those grey plastic coil covers. I wanted to paint them ingot silver to match the color of the car. I thought itd be a nice touch. Has anymore done this to there 5.0? Was it difficult? Thanks

So you painted them yourself? Cause I was wondering is it hard to sand the powered by ford lettering or it wasn't to hard

If you have a automotive paint shop in your area that does mixing of paint, you should be able to go in and give them the paint code for your car, and they should be able to mix up some rattle cans for you that will be an exact match. I've had this done many times at different PPG shops. The cans are a little expensive at around $20 each...............IMHO

If you've prep'd the covers/letters good enough they will come out great if you use some striping brushes and take your time. Or if you sprayed the letters black, then let them dry and mask them (with masking jell or tape) and then paint the white they will come out perfect. I agree that airbrushing would be good to if you have an air brush and know how to use it. I prefer to use a brush, yes it is not as easy as it looks, but paint wipes off.IMHO

I'm really surprised there are not more aftermarket options with different styles.
