Axleback Suggestions with Kooks LT's and Off-Road X-pipe

So I'm going to be doing Kook LT'S and off-road x-pipe on my 5.0. That's a set-in-stone deal, I absolutely love the exotic, high pitched screem that Kooks full exhaust produces! I also like the slightly raspy "bat-out-of-hell" tone. What I'm up in the air about though is what axleback to mate it with..? Now I've always LOVED Roush, but my fear is tone and loudness. And I love a loud exhaust, I'm just not sure what level of ridiculously loud that will rank in at.. Haha, any other suggestions in addition to Roush?

Keep a couple things in mind: This will be a DD, I'm younger, and I like to make heads turn everywhere I go.

Axleback Suggestions with Kooks LT's and Off-Road X-pipe

Everyone has their own opinion on what sounds good. But yes, the roush paired with longtubes and orx will be ungodly loud. I'd say make your decision after you install everything. But you will most likely be shopping for new axle backs soon.

I say go with borla stypes or magnaflow competition.

Go with the Kooks catback. I did and the sound to me is perfect and not to loud. Of course sound is very subjective.

Hey TG,

To me, the answer is right there waiting for you... Stick with Kooks!

I feel as if you will love a full Kooks system from the headers out to the Axle-Backs!

The Kooks Performance Axle-Back Exhaust is an awesome all around Axle-Back and are pretty close to the top of my list.

Check them out here:

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

-Will

@AMWill I'm sure it will in increase with the off-road x and headers, but is there a suggestion you have for more rasp and gargle? A couple suggestions wouldn't be bad. Also keeping in mind, like I mentioned, there will be a off-road x and LT's in the picture as well.

I have Kooks LT's with off road X and it was way too loud with Roush Axle Backs. I had order some GT500 AB's right away. It sounds really good now with the GT500's. It's only loud when you gun it, sleeper when you want it to be.

I've got longtubes and o/r x pipe with stock catback and axleback. doesn't sound the best but I'm going with cutouts. that way if i want it to be loud and have more power i can open the cutouts or quiet down and just close them. lol but keeping it kooks all the way back would be cool too.

Yeah the drones pretty ehhh. I got a deal where I only paid 50$ for it. Friends hooked me up.

But I heard so many great stories of off road pipes on our car. I just don't wanna ditch the outlaws too but looks like I will

Are you able to do a new video (like the last one) with the new off road X installed? I know that the X gives more rasp and popping (which I want more of, compared to the video you shared).
