I am thinking about getting the single post barton shifter bracket and the whiteline mount bushing insert from American muscle. Will that help me out without having to change the whole shifter? I like the quietness of it, it just feels mushy sometimes and I want it to be more firm and to have better shifts. Any feedback would be awesome. Thanks!
I know all too well of the flaws in the MT-82, I've had two after all!
I run the Barton Industries Short Shifter and Two-Post Bracket
on my current 2014 GT and love it! I would not have it any other way.
On my previous 5.0, I just ran the Barton Industries Shifter Bracket
on the stock shifter and although I would recommend the short throw also, compared to stock the difference was day and night and if you are not looking to go all out, the bracket will be perfect.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!
