Your rotors are probably glazed. I have the same issue but I haven't gotten to taking the rotors off and getting them turned. Changing the brakes alone won't help. Granted, that's if what I said is the issue.

Let me get this straight. Your brakes squeak only when you're sitting still? And they don't squeak at all whatsoever when you're actually braking?

Its the pad moving around inside the caliper. Get some Brake grease and just apply some everywhere the outside pad (usually the pad against the pistons is not the problem) touches the caliper on the back and sides. Put the car back together, and firmly press the brake pedal a few times, as the "grease" will actually act like glue after a while and keep the pads still.

That being said, depending on their life, it may just be time to replace them anyways.

You probably need brakes. We have a metal tab that catches the rotor when pads are low and causes a squeak. If pads have been done recently use gold copper paste on the ears of the pads (ONLY FOR BREMBOS). If you have standard calipers there's a different paste for them.

Replace the brake pads and inspect the calipers and rotors.
