Best CAI

Wondering what the best CAI is to buy, I am thinking one that is sealed.

Also I am concerned that if I run a CAI with no tune it may run too lean.

You really should be banned for a week for asking this question. Unbelievable.

Its been beaten to death. Your car already comes with a CAI from the factory and there is no benefit to replacing it with an aftermarket variant. None.

That question has been asked so much, it belongs in some FYI section, and even then people will not search. The Coyote has been around since 2011, if you search the forums you can get an idea how many times the question has been asked, in every mustang forum. With that being said, the best CAI is already on your car!

What everyone is saying is that you don't need or want a CAI. What you need is a tune................I had to prove this to myself even after everyone on the site, (Grabber Blue5.0 told me no), told me they were a waste of money. He was and everyone else was right and I was wrong.....if you don't want to take everyone's word for it, then go out and buy one and see how you will gain nothing or even loose HP/TQ.

Yeah just click the search button infinite results should come up including the issue of it running to lean. Maybe not so much on the 5.0 but most of the air induction systems are similar.

^this^ and in general it's worthless unless you get a tune.

At least with my car, I'd have to say no, I don't think it did.
Save the money you'd spend for the CAI and get some good rear suspension parts.............you'll need them after you put the tune in the car.............IMHO

No... it doesn't, this is what ppl are telling you. Its a shiny piece of bling to replace the stock plastic tubing but other than looks it does zilch performance wise. All the gains ppl rave about are in the tune. The stock setup actually draws cooler outside air in from the fender if you look at it. Many of the "CAI" setups that are sold do not do this and are are actually HAI (hot air intakes) which rob power over the stocker.

No because you are taking the factory exhaust system and going to physically bigger pipes and high flow cats (or no cats). An aftermarket mid pipe, overaxle pipes and axlebacks are a good power booster although a lot of ppl just get the longtubes too to complete the set.

The Coyotes see gains on the exhaust side, not the intake side. Period.

Hey man get the AEM CAI. Its is sealed and looks great. That's what I run. Will you gain HP/TQ that's still an argument but the benefit is "looks & filter". It comes with the new K&N cotton oil free filter that you wash in warm water over and over and over. Not many have this intake so you will get some extra looks by mustang guys. If you are a 2013-14 then no worrying about water on your open filter. And if it does some how give you an extra horse or 2 then just add that to the benefits.

This is devolving and the original questions has been answered so thread is being closed.

-Cliff's notes:

Stock CAI is not something that needs to be replaced. Spend money elsewhere.
