Tune w/ which intake?

I have the closed airbox unit from AEM and was just wondering if i need an intake that goes with a tune or if it does not matter which intake you have at all because I know you can tune the car completely stock. May be a stupid question but I'm new to this tune stuff and just started looking into it. Also have roush axel back exhaust FYI. Thanks
