Tint removal

Hey guys.

Anybody know how to take tint off the back window?

I don't want to go all crazy scraping it off with a razor blade. It'll likely take off the defrost. I learned that once the hard way.

I figure... now that I'm over 40 I should grow up a little bit...

Also, I'd like to see the cops coming from further away!

I have removed quite a bit of tint lately, use a heat gun up against a corner edge and lift up and pull. Heat the tint as you go while pulling it, the more heat the less residue you leave behind. If no heat gun then use a blowdryer, just let the tint get warm.

Just heat and peel. Works like a charm, and you can use goo gone or rubbing alcohol to clean off any residue.

I used one of those handheld fabric steamers. Heat it up well and pull slowly. If the glue sticks to the window just heat it some more.

Only cost about $25 for the steamer and worked great. Just need to be patient.

Fabric steamers. Trust us, don't do anything else. Fabric steamer and you'll be done in 5 minutes.
