Boss 302 H pipe with side baffles removed

So I think I may have come up with a solution to my craving for more volume, key word think... Instead of going cat less because I don't want to risk a fine or something right now, I was thinking maybe the boss 302 H pipe with the side baffles removed, has anyone heard it in person? Is it noticeably louder than the stock H? Is it barely noticeable or will I actually hear a good difference is what I'm asking I guess. I have Roush mufflers if that makes a difference.

Restrictions removed, it is loud. Annoying loud for my taste, but thats me. AT idle its good, but when you get on the loud pedal, you will wake the neighbors

well like I said I'm a little bored of just my axle back exhaust... The Roush sound great but I want a little more volume and excitement lol, I may just end up waiting and getting long tubes and high flow cats but I might get the 302 h pipe for the time being however I wanna know if it actually makes a difference in volume.

If you really want one, my friend will be removing his soon, he just got a set Kooks headers with catted H pipe. Not sure what he wants for them yet, but if you want I can PM you his cell and you can call and speak to him

I have seen people drill holes in the baffles to obtain the sound they want. I have my baffles removed I don't drive mine a lot so when I do I want it to be loud.

I had the boss pipes on mine before the
Ataks when I had the Mac axle backs. They sounded awesome. I had the baffles removed too. I sold them though because when I'm lowered they wanted
To scrape on everything lol. I say go for it. They sounded bad as!

I'm going back and forth between a few different set ups... I'm considering off road x pipe or h pipe with my roush, boss h pipe, maybe switching my axle back to something a little quieter to go with an offroad x pipe... Roush with offroad mid pipe isn't too loud for me personally but might attract too much attention as a DD so I have to figure something out... Also considering hi flow cats but I don't know how much louder that would actually make my car

Well the plus with the boss pipes is they they're legal and they do sound so much more aggressive. Add
Quite a bit of volume too.

The Boss exhaust is restrictive and expensive. Look up sideburners as an option.

The Boss pipes are restrictive and expensive...and getting hard to find. Consider sideburners as an option.

Just search sideburners exhaust and you'll find it, it's bolt on side exit similar to b302

I've never heard that they were restrictive. Idk how they could be. And why would they put them on the boss if that's true?

Not to say the exhaust is restrictive in fact I love my boss exhaust and probably would never change it. But if I was modding a GT I heard Kooks has a boss sidepipe setup I would look into that. I have been considering swapping out my transmission for a Tremec Magnum though.

That's a good deal. If I didn't drag mine on stuff because I lowered my car I would still have them.

Yeah I was pretty shocked to be honest but I am not sure if I want to pull the trigger on it. Still trying to decide between that cat deletes/tune or new wheels and tires as my next mod

So deepimpactpony. I decided to pull the trigger and buy your friend eddies 302 exhaust. To the OP. I have the roush Axel backs *** well. The 302 added a deep throaty should that's unbelievable. I got tons of head turns today with the new set up. Worth the 3 hour drive to New Jersey.

Dude it got way louder. The roush Axel back is loud but this made it at least 3 times louder. And the sound changed big time. In a positive way. I fell in love with my car again. If yours is stick you'll love when your at 2800-3500 in 1-3 gear. Sounds amazing.

LOL, he better, we've only been friends for the past 35 years! I just have to try to get him into the technical age. Amazing how quickly that thing goes on eh? How long did Rob take? 15 minutes?

When you installed the Boss side exhaust, did you have any raddling on the inside of your car? I have a set installed and my passenger side has a small vibration. It's driving me nuts.

I don't have a rattle when it's idle or anything. Although when I hit I bump on the road( not necessarily a huge one) I get a rather big rattle on the drivers side from the pipe moving around. It's a bit annoying but I can look past it with the awesome sound it get from it.

See I have rattling from the rear quater window area and driving me nuts. I guess it has something to do with the installation.

Is it when it's idle or when do you get the rattling?
