Magnaflow headers and true x anyone?

I searched to see if anyone was running magnaflow headers (shorties with ceramic coating) and I didn't see it and AM doesn't have any reviews. I am slightly intrigued by them and the catted true x set up. I already have a 3" magnaflow street cat back. So I guess I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with them together and if it got any louder or if it just changed the tone. I'm not looking to wake the neighbors, just want a more refined tone and any lost performance I can reclaim. Keep in mind I want to keep cats. I don't have a tune, and don't have plans for that. I am eventually going to add the FRPP track key when my factory warranty is up. I know there are a ton of exhaust threads but again I didn't see this discussed.

Get a real tune when your warranty is up. Or get he trackey now. If u let ford install it, you can keep a warranty.

^ ford is the only one who can install it, and you don't keep your warranty. It voids your warranty and replaces it with ford racings warranty which is not as long. I believe it's 3 yr 36 power train vs the 5 yr 60 power train. I drive the car daily so I like the idea of being able to activate the beast with a key when I want and not have it all the time or have to download tunes all the time.

Changing out post cats is just for sound. Research vids with x vs h sound. Tune and offroad midpipe us where the power is unlocked. I debated this for 6 mos going catless again. Glad I did it in the end. Car picked up some ponies around 4k up.

I have been running magnaflow true x with high flow cats. cost 800.00+.I first installed 50 state legal magnaflow . Bolts directly to your stock cats. for 300+ Big mistake! Only gain was a little louder not much gain in hp. If your interested I will sell you the true x that fits 2011-2014 gt. for 125.00. It has less than 1k miles, and you keep your stock cats. If interested EMail geraldfreer@embarqmail.com

Just got my magnaflow x pipe on to compliment my magnaflow 3" catback street setup. Wow. Totally changes the sound of the car (I realized it would be different of course). I can see now why people have such different opinions of x pipe vs h pipes on these cars. I personally really enjoy the new sound and tone. I also noticed less noise in the car which is a plus for me as I often drive long distances. I give it two thumbs up. Maybe one of these days I will go Cat-less, I'm sure that would really wake it up, but for now I'm really happy with it!

My bad. You are correct. Still on the fence about pulling the trigger on that. I'm not sure why as I hate the dealer and would do everything possible to avoid letting them touch my car. But if the motor or trans grenades tomorrow I'd be nice to have a replacement. Short of that they can go fly a kite.
