Well it sounds like the driveshaft would be in order eventually, so that would def be a good place to start. I'm eyeballing one myself. You will eventually need a tuner, so maybe you get one and drop a tune on it and see how it behaves. 🙀

On the way home from work just now, I was thinking the exact same thing lol. Tuner and DS. Lund for the 6MT the best?

The child in me came out the other night while on the interstate btw. A turbocharged Honda Civic hatch back and a tuned/exhaust 135i peer pressured me into racing lol. Hence the reason for needing some go fast goodies. Both of them hung with me up until the end of fifth. Things are becoming too equal these days lol.

Couldn't speak to who a good tuner is. I have zero experience with it. But I have head good things about him on here as I'm sure you have. I will be curious to see how you like a tune though.

Plus it isn't a waste. You will need it anyway. Obviously you will need an updated tune when the supercharger makes its debut but that's to be expected.

Seems like a pretty solid deal. Stainless is a win also. But your going to get mufflers right? Not planning on running just resonators are ya? Haha

Where are the resonators? In the cat back portion? I wasn't planning on switching out the axle back. Too loud lol? Maybe go catted?

Eric's 2014 Mustang GT build thread

If you are muffler delete right now and you have no intentions of getting a different muffler setup I would say do not go off road. That is going to be LOUD as hell. And prob not a good loud. But for the gains you are looking to get, off road and tuner is the way to go. Honestly if it were me I would get a good street muffler and then go cat-less.

The resonators are in the over the axle portion of the stock pipe right after the factory h pipe. They look like little bump outs on the pipe, and have flat spots on them.

I think you would be wasting your time getting the tuner for a catted x pipe. I guess worst case you can see just how loud it's going to be, then decide if that's how you want to roll.

You've heard mine, that's factory everything with just borlas. I'm sure yours is loud now as well. Basically amplify that x3 lol

Ahhhhhh ok, that's what I thought. Was scared when I first looked under there and saw the flat spots on them. Immediately looked it up and found it to be that way from the factory lol. I also hadn't checked until after I was lowered so I thought I hit something lol. Hmmmm....so many different ways I could go with this. The car is somewhat loud I guess I'd say. WOT is loud, just cruising is fine, and idle quiets down immediately. I'll have to YouTube some videos I suppose. I was catless/muffler-less on my 2V and that wasn't like nerve-shatteringly loud, but I know we're talking 2 different motors here.

I've heard guys on here say outlaws catless and roush catless are ridiculously loud. Lol. So I can imagine muffler deletes are as bad. Seems like a winning recipe for an exhaust on these coyotes is loud muffler with nothing else messed with, or quiet muffler with everything else gone. Lol.

Lol yes, sure seems that way. Which is why I'm having a tough time deciding. This kit also caught my eye, but I'm not sure on the quality of the headers themselves...

I would definitely like a substantial power bump from whatever I do next, that's for sure. Car is starting to feel slow, and that is never a good thing lol.

Eric's 2014 Mustang GT build thread

^ that might be pretty awesome. Stainless works stuff seems to be good quality from everything I've read. That's pretty expensive though. 1079.00 plus you still need to purchase a tuner to instal the "custom" tune they provide. Still not sure it's worth keeping cats though. From everything I've heard people saying, the gains really come from going off road. I'm sure long tubes will help but you might be right back where you started keeping cats. I wonder if it's worth the trade off (getting this set up to keep your muffler deletes, vs just getting that UPR set up and some decent mufflers)? I'm sure someone else can weigh in on this. I'm just regurgitating what I've read over and over on different threads in here.

Here is a link to a guy with UPR off road x and roush mufflers. This is one of DiESeven's friends. He told me that it's retarded loud. Like this video does it no justice.

No brother I appreciate any and all input on this matter. I have a good buddy of mine who is going through some serious ish with MAC (forgot what the acronym stands for) but they will not pass his car. It's been completely detuned all the way from a vortech with supporting mods down to bare bones stock, and it still won't pass. Now I guess I don't really have an issue with swapping out the exhausts, but it obviously irritates me a bit lol. Is catless the way to go with these cars? Is that the norm? I want a power boost, but not the hassle IF, there's ways around it other than exhaust swapping. That UPR deal looks like a good bang for buck....that does sound louuuuud, but it's awesome lol.

Will you pass MA inspection with it off-road?

I would think so if I could get a tune from Lund to bypass the CEL it would throw, but I'm not 100% positive. For example, other systems may be thrown off as "ready" or "not ready". I need some MA peeps to chime in lol.

My old 2V I was catless/muffler delete and I would just switch back to oem. Those were the good old days when you didn't even need a tune...

MA is pretty strict when it comes to inspections. Especially for altered exhaust. You either have to know someone, or run the stock exhaust.

Just placed a rather large order with 4 different companies lol.

-3.5 aluminum drive shaft from Shaftmaters
-Stiffler's drive shaft safety loop from LMR
-BMR adjustable UCA (red) and differential/carrier bushing from BMR
-carrier bushing removal tool from Maximum Motorsports.

Should be quite the busy weekend....lol

Is the frozen stuff going on the car as well

New parts are so fun to get. That diff bushing seems like a good investment. I wondered about that when I upgraded my uca. First thought that went through my mind was well this only seems like it solves half the problem. Only as good as the weakest link. :/ might need to pick one of those up.

Are you doing the install?

Is your car auto/manual, and do you plan on doing an exhaust at all in the near future?

Yeah I have been following the thread where you guys are talking about tunes to make an off road exhaust pass inspection. Sucks for sure. I would take advantage of my freedom to do what I want but I daily drive mine. Lots of miles. In fact, I have 20k on my car and have had it 8 months. Off road would just be ridiculous for me.
