Engine Knocking and Smoking

So awhile back my 14 mustang started to "poof" smoke at start up. Didn't think much of it since it was very cold outside. Then started more and a burning smell appeared whiteout being hard on it. I started to worry a little more then it started to have a knock! Sounds like lifter clatter rear passenger side engine. I only have muffler deletes with 13k miles. And no I don't rag out my car.

It's been about a week since I left it at the dealer so in the morning I'm going to go check on the process of it. They already gave me trouble attempting to blame me for abusing the car cuz it's a mustang. Do I get on it, yes I do, do I abuse it. No I don't. End rant....

Did you check oil levels? To me it sounds like it is burning oil and maybe has a leak in a gasket domewhere

I've had one on it the day I bought it actually. Been catching a lot of oil from it.

Oil levels were normal when I checked. Plus it sounded like it had a misfire after warm up.

If they don't fix it and you are in warranty escalate it up the chain

Ok. Small update. Contacted the dealership and asked for a update. What the tech found was metal shavings in the intake. So now it's going to be a complete Engine teardown.

You mean in the block valley or intake manifold.

Pretty sure it's the intake manifold. I was at work when they called. So couldn't really talk.

That's very unusual, you should be out of the break in period. As far as the miss fire I had those once, Ford actually issued a service announcement and created a retune. You car being a 2014 shouldn't be included but it depends when it was built.

This is all new for me. And I checked different forums about this problem but seems like I'm the only case. Planning on getting another call tomarrow on the status of it.
