U can achieve it easily. Roush tune sucks hands down, they use the closed air box. And they don't use a small pulley for more boost. Upgrade to open airbox custom tune and only upgrade to a 82mm pulley which is the next to biggest and you can make over 600whp. A guy on Instagram has dyno sheets for proof on his 2014 5.0 with a vmp. And he only has 47# injectors. Same exact setup I have.

For the vortec team beefcake blower.. what's the difference between the pro bov (I would upgrade to the pro) vs the tial wastegate? I know u can control the boost of the wastegate but I'm not a big fan of the loud sound that comes with the tial wastegate..

If you dont like the loud sound or swoosh, then stick with the BOV that is included with the kit. The upgrade MaxFlow Race BOV is more inline with the Tial as far as sound goes. The stock BOV that comes with the kit has a smaller oval opening in the piping. It is a lot smaller diameter hole, so the BOV does not release as much air as quickly, hence the quieter operation.
Wastegate and BOV are two different parts. You MUST have a BOV, a wastegate is optional. A wastegate limits the amount of boost via a spring loaded valve. Stiffer the spring, the higher the psi.
The BOV releases the pressure or boost when you let off the throttle and is operated by a vacuum line that is tied into your car.

Also.. I have an air raid cold air intake.. that should mount up to the vortec right? They do have an option for just the stock air box so I'm just gonna say it will work

Okay so for the vortec beefcake kit.. the last two tabs are for fuel and for the 8 rib pully/competition upgrade.. are they worth upgrading or going with the cheaper stuff already included

No need for the 8rib unless you are going 800+rwhp with a tiny pulley. You will not have any belt slip.

Deerslayer, theres no doubt your setup looks sweet, its just all that extra stuff makes ***** all cramped up under the hood. A blower that sits on the engine just looks so clean. Thats the direction I'm going to go I would say. The bov cutting loose on people is sweet and I had that, in fact I had a vortech mondo bov with my procharger and it was aimed at the ground off to the driver side. I could clean the road if I hit a dusty spot. I actually heard a car pull up at a place with a procharger and the whistle had me from the get go, I ordered one immediately. But thats only at idle. It was sweet though but I think I want the blower whine this time around.

Does anyone actually go through VMP just for tuning purposes? When you see people talk about tuners they just mention Lund and AED for the most part. And of course BAMA pops up and a couple of others. But VMP never really comes up unless you have one of their blower kits. Is there a reason for that?

VMP can tune a N/A setup just as well as a Roush/VMP blower setup.

VMP only for tuning! I'd have a VMP tune before a dyno tune

No doubt Justin at VMP puts out good tunes on their PD blowers. It is all tastes and what people like when it comes to FI on the coyote. In the end, the coyote platform is great with all four types of power adders. Nitrous, Turbo, Centri or PD blowers, just a matter of taste. They ALL are fun with these cars. If I had an auto, I would go turbo. If I wanted to feel the launch to the max, I would go nitrous, If I wanted to make strong digs from a stand still I would go PD, but I love the feel of top end HP and overall speed, so the centri fits the bill for what I like. IMHO there is nothing like the feel a centri gives you from a downshift at a 40 roll. The linear feel of the acceleration and the faster you go the quicker it climbs is what I like. It is like a drug. You get used to the that feel and want more and more.

So a centri feels more like a turbo then the rest or sounds like?

yes, a centri IS just a belt driven turbo instead of exhaust driven. You hear about turbos spooling up, a centri ramps up on more of a linear line due to rpm's dictating the spooling up. Using exhaust is more efficient in producing boost than a belt drive when you compare the two. Sound wise, a centri and a turbo have many of the same components that produce the same sound. (blow off valves & wastegates) Some turbos have a louder whistle when spooling up as do some centris when you compare them brand to brand.

I do love the feel of a centri myself. turbo would be my number 1 since you get the unmatched torque that centris don't offer.

That was a no brainer for me because me and my dad
Did the install. It took 9 hours and that including uploading the tune and changing the oil.
