I'm in the market for a X-pipe or H-pipe. Any suggestions for to combo with OEM GT500 axle backs? This will pretty much finish up my exterior mods.

Lethal and UPR seem to be the most popular around here.

What sucks about the sound clips when your looking at the x pipes (as I found when looking for one) is that everyone has a different combo. So you find the x pipe you want and they have headers and different brand mufflers, some have resonators some don't... It's hard to really decide based on them is what I'm saying I guess.

Damn you're right. I'll just pick one I guess. What do you think of these?

Seems to get decent reviews. But it looks like it's out of stock on AM. I picked up a used magnaflow tru-x that is for use with OE cats from a member here for 125 bucks. It is at the mercy of FEDEX right now so I haven't had a chance to try it out. I think your going to be fine with any x pipe set up you run but it does seem like lethal performance gets great reviews. They have a video where they compare one of their h pipes against an X Pipe. Both sound good, but the h pipe is more about old school sound and the x pipe is more refined. I personally think the x pipe is for me. Can't wait to get mine on. I will be a magnaflow poster child as I will have their entire system from the x pipe back. Are you planning on running headers at some point? If you are going to run long tubes you should hold off on the x pipe as they are different once you go long tube headers.

Sounds crazy, but if you hear a good sounding Mustang. ...just ask the driver at a red light. Most will tell you without hesitation.

Hey Devil,

For a reasonably priced setup, I am a huge fan of JBA.

I ran the JBA H Pipe (cat-less) on my previous 2012 GT and absolutely loved it. With Gt500 Axle Backs none-the-less!

If you are leaning more towards an X pipe rather than an H pipe then check out the JBA X pipe.

These kits will allow you to run them either catted and off-road without spending an extra dime due to the included cat delete pipes. Definitely a + in my book.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

-Will

I have the JBA X pipe for my 14Gt that I purchased through American Muscle and it would not fit. Rubs on trans brace. No matter how many times I adjusted it. Took it to a shop to see if they could do it and same result. Called AM about it last June and they said they couldn't do anything for me. Kinda Sucks considering how much money I've spent through them over the years. AM really let me down.
