The boss has like 20 hp more out of the gate. Your buddy should buy it and then you will get to find out I guess!

This probably won't help you at all. Still fun to watch.

That's a drivers race. You will have more torque and be able to shift better (hopefully). Boss get real fast real quick NA.

The boss winds up real quick for sure it's fun to drive it also has 3:73 gears. Drivers being equal and cars stock the Boss should have a little edge but a better driver or setup in GT it's right there.

Make sure you have a good set of drag radials if you have an auto or bias ply for a manual. The first 60 feet make a huge difference no matter the power. It not any good without traction.

Races are usually won or lost in the first 60'.....with that said if you have a CAI/tune and stock suspension I think the Boss will get you on the top end as long as the strip is 1/4 mile, if it's only an 1/8 mile you've got a better chance..........and it depends on which guy knows how to drive?

It would be a very good race anyway you look at it.

Power-wise you 2 are going to almost the same.
Boss (Roadrunner) stock = Coyote w/ tune horsepower wise.

Noone mentioned that his Boss is going to have a little lower & stiffer suspension, which will probably give him a slight edge.

However, since you're both manual, it would be purely a drivers race with the 2 cars being so equal on almost everything.

I weighed my wheel/tire combo's before/stock vs after/TSW+Mickey Thompson.

I save about 5 lbs per corner on the front & about 4.5lbs per corner on the rear. (stock was square, TSW's are staggered so rears are heavier)

GT vs Boss

He should buy the Boss....it's an intense ride.
Straight-line the Boss has an slight edge (driver dependent)....HOWEVER...the Boss will 'Eat-your-lunch' on a road course.

There just isn't that much difference between a Boss suspension and GT or my TrackPak. Stock against stock the Boss certainly has a little edge...........especially in HP.

I agree with you. The boss does have more power so it is going to be a drivers race. Whoever can get ahead in the first 60 feet is going to have a better chance at winning. It just depends solely on the driver because it sounds like the cars are close to being even.

He's not experienced with a 6 speed he's an auto guy but the boss is a manual. I prefer a stick it's actually all I drive. He will even admit I am the better driver and I am willing to admit he has more car. What else could I do to my 5.0 to strengthen my chances?
