It's all in the tune I believe. Ford has the computer programmer for that paper filter. The k&n filter as just a filter does flow better. Forget all the crap that comes along with it in a coyote. Plus as I believe Olerodder mentioned, it removes more from the air being sucked into the engine than a paper filter.

What are you running? Just out of curiosity?

Stock CAI and filter, because that's what has better performance unless FI or intake swap where you would actually need a bigger intake, ex Cobra Jet Manifold.

I'm running the stock CAI as well. Don't ever plan on changing it. I just choose to run the K&N. It would eventually have found its way into my car anyway as I am planning on getting a trackey unless I happen to win AM's BAMA tuner give away this month.

K&N " up " to 50% more air flow.... With large holes poked through it and no oil on it.
(After its sucked into and all over my MAF)
